There are two modes of admission in the Ph. D. program

(2.1) Written Entrance test

(2.2) Direct Interview

• The Written entrance test would be compulsory for students who are otherwise eligible for admission to the Ph. D. Programme. The entrance test will be conducted once a year and the eligibility of shortlisted candidates shall remain valid till the next entrance test is held or one year, whichever is earlier.
• The Entrance Test will be a qualifying examination with qualifying marks of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC(NC)/PWD). There shall be a combined entrance test for M.Phil. and Ph. D.  The syllabus for the entrance test will consist of 50% questions on research aptitude/methodology and 50% subject-specific questions from the following areas
