Unbeatable return on investment

Department of commerce , Delhi School of Economics is one of the most economical places to do MBA from. You'll always feel the ambience of Delhi University while being in the department, which is at the heart of North Campus. College lacks a bit in infrastructure but keeping in mind a number of expenses we have made, which is somewhere around 17,000 for a year, no complaints get justified! High on return, average package here is around 9-9.5 LPA with some very reputed brands coming visiting campus. hostel facility is provided by DU near to the Campus area in 10 mins walking distance. What's very great here is that each and every activity is driven by students and that's what makes a student a good manager here.

With the brand name of Delhi University, Department of commerce offers a specialised course in International Business in MBA, a field with high future prospects in the world of Globalisation with all firms thriving for international business including start-ups. the college has a strong alumni base catering to different sectors including manufacturing, consultancy, IT, E-commerce. the fees for enrolling in the course is minimal as compared to other B-schools. moreover, the college offers a degree in master in business administration, unlike other prominent B-schools.Though not equipped with state of the art infrastructure, it maintains the required infrastructure. guest lectures are conducted with other events and competitions organised by the college student body the Delhi university crowd and culture, annual fests have no comparison in terms of expenditures and level of participation I can proudly say the time I have spent here will stay close to my heart!!!

Enthralling Experience

Department of commerce is a brand for commerce students aspiring to go for research or for corporate future and is acclaimed to be one of the best institutes across the nation. My journey here began with MBA IB course which is not only focussing on hardcore international business but marketing as well. The campus is well equipped with decent classrooms and halls and other modern equipment that supplement our classroom experience. The placement committee and other committees work hard day and night to enhance knowledge of batch with the best of industrial and corporate exposure. Noida special economic zone and wet port and dry port are some of the mandatory visits that we do to have practical views of international business operations, and that's interestingly very enjoyable. We here at DSE get enough amount of opportunities in corporate placements and almost each and every one gets placed way before the college ends . All in all a very good college and I would definitely recommend this to my friends as well.

Decent MBA programme with exceptional ROI

Department of Commerce offers industry acclaimed MBA courses with decent placements. Exceptional thing is the fees which is about 35,000 for two years. Some of the prominent names in the academic society form the faculty here. Rest everything is student run which provides a great learning experience. Don't expect the best of infrastructure and facilities as it is a government funded institution.

The campus has not a great infrastructure but it is certainly home to best faculties. The college could boast of decent placements. Industry exposure is given to the students through various Guest Lectures and port visits. The college has an amazing crowd with students from diverse background. The college fees is extremely low which makes it affordable for everyone. The DU factor gives it an add on advantage.

Batch of Jan. 1, 2017 | MBA Human Resource Development
What infrastructural facilities your campus has and what it should have? It is situated in the Delhi School of Economics campus in the heart of the University of Delhi's north campus and offers two full-time, 2-year MBA degrees: MBA(Human Resource Development) and MBA(International Business), under the aegis of the Delhi University. A very homely, green environment. The Department of Commerce has classrooms with modern facilities, a modern Computer Laboratory, a seminar hall, and shares the Ratan Tata Library with the Departments of Economics, Sociology and Geography at DSE. The Library, which is one of the considered one of the best not just in India but in the entirety of Asia, comprises 2.5 lakh volumes of books and bound periodicals. Nearly 1300 current titles are being received in the Library. The Library also receives Annual Reports of about 800 Joint Stock companies for research and analysis and has been designated as a repository of United Nations publications. What is being done by your college to enhance corporate exposure? The MBA(HRD) and MBA(IB) courses offered by the department have been ongoing for more than 30 years now (as MHROD and MIB till 2014) and have a niche Regular interaction with experts and thought leaders from the corporate sphere in the form of Guest Lectures, Industrial Visits, Port Visits, Workshops and Social Media Outreach including Twitter live web chats and Sessions. The annual Business Convention of the Department of Commerce, known as Erudition, is a two-day event which brings together some of the leaders of the business world for a series of Panel Discussions and Lectures. Students are also required to undergo Summer Internships at leading organizations to be able to develop their skill sets and abilities, gain knowledge about business and other corporate activities and get a hands-on feel of working life before they join the workforce on a full-time basis. What made your college life so enjoyable? The rigour and discipline of Management education is perfectly blended with the serene atmosphere of DSE in particular as well as DU in general. The extremely active student committees take complete ownership of a lot of the activities on campus including corporate relations and placements, alumni relations, student development and even discipline, for which there are specific committees and teams. This gives a different sort of exposure on its own and helps prepare students for life after campus by taking the responsibilities on their shoulders, and developing both their technical as well as soft skills at the same time. What are Placement Activities on Campus? Placement activities have always been excellent in the college and the courses are known to have some of the best Returns on Investment (RoI) in the entire country, on a MBA degree. Placements have especially taken an upswing in recent years, with average CTCs of ₹9.73L and ₹9.26L for MBA(HRD) and MBA(IB) for final placements of the 2014-16 batches, which translates to an almost 25% increase year-on-year. The maximum CTC was ₹21.2L per annum. Summer Internships also saw a healthy rise in stipends offered, with an average of ₹18,000 per month for 2 months and a highest of ₹75,000 per month. What facilities were provided in your hostels? Fully-equipped hostels in the North Campus of the University of Delhi. Faculty and pedagogy? The faculty imbues the right thoughts and mindsets in the students, in addition to offering top-notch education and develop the skill-sets of the students. The faculty is highly qualified and experiences, with some being the national thought leaders in their respective fields. The pedagogy firmly focuses on learning by doing, through case studies, presentations and through alumni and industrial interactions. Fees and Affordable? As mentioned in the title, the fees are laughably low, coming to a total of around ₹36,000 for 2 years. In addition, the student body collects a total of around ₹40,000 for 2 years from the students to fund various activities on campus.
