Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC), Bangalore was established in July 1981 by Ananda Social and Educational Trust. The College started functioning in its permanent campus at Kadugondanahalli in the year 1987. The campus spreads over 25 acres of land. BRAMC offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The College is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Previously, BRAMC was affiliated to the Bangalore University and is now affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College is located at Gandhi Nagar, Kadugondanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Bangalore East Railway Station is around 3.5 km away and Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is around 32 km away from the Institute. Students can take a bus or a cab to reach BRAMC.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced NEET cut off percentile with the official brochure. NEET cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks to be obtained to pass the entrance test. NEET UG 2021 cutoff for general category candidates is 50th percentile. While for SC/ST/OBC and general-PH aspirants, NEET qualifying percentile is 40th and 45th percentile, respectively. Though it is quite difficult to tell the cutoff marks but for the last year NEET cutoff scores for the general category were 720-147, while for SC/ST/OBC it was 146-113.

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical College lays great emphasis on the all round development of the student. The college campus has a spacious sports ground and materials for several outdoor and indoor activities. A committee, headed by the Principal and comprising of Physical Director , sports secretary and talented members of the staff, and student representatives, manage the sports activities. It is a matter of pride that many of our students have come out with flying colours in National, State , Inter-university and Inter-medical sports competitions. Students take a keen interest in literary and cultural activities. The College Day, Graduation Day, competitions on Karnataka Rajyothsava are some of the platform for literary and cultutral activities. A college magazine is brought out with articles mostly contributed by students and staff.
