Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Technology is a three-year full-time UG course and it is offered by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Technology, established in the year 2005 offers a unique three-year undergraduate program with a vision to provide high-quality education to the students with hands-on experience in the state of the art laboratories. The program was meticulously designed to offer specialization in science stream encompassing a strong knowledge in clinical laboratory techniques and an exposure to social disciplines. The curriculum facilitates the students to acquire diverse knowledge in the field of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Immunology, and Molecular biology. The Department of Clinical Laboratory Technology caters to the quest for knowledge in clinical diagnostic technology, with latest application tools.

The program was initiated with the primary objective of improving the employability and interdisciplinary skills among the students and to meet out the increasing demand for technologists in the area of health care and related industries. Clinical laboratory technologists perform complex chemical, biochemical, hematological, immunological, microscopic and bacteriological tests and evaluate test results. They develop and modify procedures and monitor programs to ensure the accuracy of tests. The curriculum renders supportive services to the field of medicine.
