    Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundations College of Pharmacy, Ahmednagar Admission Process

    Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation's College of Pharmacy, Ahmednagar, which has established itself, with programs in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. For all these programs, the college is basing their admissions on entrance examination, where for the undergraduate program, the admission of candidates is based on their performance at the MHT CET. The college is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and accredited by NAAC, which states that the quality of education rendered by the college is the best in pharmacy education. Hence, one can say that the admission procedure also follows the time of MHT CET and GPAT. The MHT CET examination for the PCB Group for the next academic year shall be held on April 8, 2025. The prospective candidates can take note of the date and prepare accordingly. 

    The date for GPAT is yet to be mentioned but is usually in the first quarter of the year around the month of January or February.  Under B.Pharma, candidates are required to pass with subjects considered in 10+2 Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Maths, and the selection is carried out on the basis of MHT CET scores. Under M.Pharma, candidates are required to qualify for GPAT and must have that of B.Pharma. The selection criteria and eligibility could differ for entry into Ph.D. programs.

    Application Process

    The application process varies from program-wise basis for Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation's College of Pharmacy:

    For B.Pharma:

    1. Candidates must appear for the MHT CET examination (for the upcoming academic year, April 8, 2025).
    2. Eligible candidates will then have the opportunity to fill in their options on the centralized admission process conducted by the state authorities once the results are declared.
    3. Filling up an application form with relevant information and stating preferences.
    4. Submitting documents such as the MHT CET scorecard, 10th and 12th mark sheets, and other specified certificates.
    5. Awaiting the publication of the merit list and counseling process.
    6. After getting an allocated seat, the student has to report to the college for document verification and admission confirmation.

    Those who appear for GPAT may apply for M.Pharma. After GPAT results, apply to the respective college through the application form. Submission of all the required documents along with the application form, GPAT scorecard, photocopy of B.Pharm degree certificate, and mark sheets is mandatory. The college may conduct further selection rounds, including interviews/written tests. Finally, the selection will be based on the GPAT score and further selection round activities.

    For Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

    1. Ph.D. applications will be announced on the college website or contact the admission office.
    2. Fill in the application form attached with the outline of the research proposal, academic certificates, and letters of recommendation.
    3. Attend any entrance tests/interviews if called by the college.
    4. Final selection will depend on the academic performance, research potential, and performance of the candidate throughout the selection process.

    Basically, there exists an admission mold set up that includes:

    • Entrance exam score card (MHT CET for B.Pharma, GPAT for M.Pharma)
    • Aptitude tests paper in English
    • 10th and 12th mark sheets
    • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for postgraduate programs)
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
    • Domicile certificate (if required)
    • Passport size photographs
    • Any other documents as mentioned by the college or state admission authority.

    Degree-wise Admission Process

    B.Pharma: The B.Pharma program at Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation's College of Pharmacy admits students based on the MHT CET entrance examination. The number of seats available for this program is 60. All accepted candidates should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

    M.Pharma: The M.Pharma is offered by the Institute under specializations of Medical Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance Techniques, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutics. Each specialization has 15 seats. The admissions into these programs rely on the GPAT entrance examination. For eligibility, they should have qualified the B.Pharma.

    Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Chemistry: The institute offers the Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a seat intake of 30 maximum. Though the official admission criteria, as such, have not been laid down, the Ph.D. admission normally entails a separate application process that incorporates an entrance test and/or interview.
