The Bachelor of Science in Optometry programme is a comprehensive four-year course focused on the science of eyesight care. It encompasses the examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of various visual system disorders. In addition to the academic curriculum, which includes subjects like general anatomy & physiology, ocular anatomy & physiology, medical procedures, low vision aids, geometrical optics, and nutrition, students are required to complete a one-year internship to gain practical experience in the field.
Eligibility Criteria
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognised central/state board or its equivalent with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English subjects. Additionally, candidates must have qualified in the AP EAPCET, NEET, or TS EAMCET.
