Government General Degree College, Kalna has an enriched, well-equipped and furnished library. The library has a large and rich collection of textbooks, reference books and e-resources for the users (students, faculties and other staff). The library has subscribed to the N-List programme of INFLIBNET where all the library users can remotely access a large number of e-journals and e-books from different publishers. In addition, the library also provides reading room service, reference service, lending service, reprographic service and new arrival service.

The college provides its students with games and sports facilities. The college sports room has arrangements for indoor games like carrom. There is also a badminton and volleyball court on the college campus. Government General Degree College, Kalna also provides an opportunity for regular practice of various throwing and jumping events.

Government General Degree College, Kalna’s IT infrastructure, which includes fully functional desktop computers with internet connectivity for students, improves student’s technical and computer skills. And also the college's IT staff is in charge of regulating the computer lab.
