Gupta College of Technological Sciences (GCTS), Asansol was established in the year 2000. GCTS is approved and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) respectively. The Institute offers undergraduate (B.Pharmacy) and postgraduate (M.Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology). GCTS is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), Kolkata.

Library holds large number of resources both in print as well as in non-print form. Library also contains many valuable & highly expensive reference books along with textbooks. The library is a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network). It uses DELPLUS ver 2.0 software & is dealt with the introduction of its bibliographic data into MARC-21(Bibliographic Standard).In future library intend to transform its resources in digital form. Books - Library holds approximately 13,699 volumes and 1560 titles, which covers all the area of the pharmaceutical world. Journals - National 28 and 84 online (National and International both inclusive)
The college campus has a big courtyard where students are allowed to recreate themselves in their free time by participating in games. The Institute playground (Oval) is always bubbling with outdoor activities like Cricket, Football, Volley-ball etc. There are courts for Volley-ball and Badminton. The institute provides recreational facilities through provision of necessary sports kits all year throughout the around. In order to promote sportsmanship qualities like teamwork, sportsman spirit amongst students, the college arranges annual sports where students participate in intra-college and in inter-college competitions in football, cricket, volleyball, flat race, high/long jumps etc. The winners are given certificates of merit. Participation of students in inter-college sports arranged by MAKAUT at Kolkata is also encouraged.
The College has a modern, well-equipped computer lab having machines with latest configuration and server-based networking. Its have a spacious and comfortable environment along with a seminar oriented set up. We have more than 52 PC’s some of them are highly configured windows 7 and Some are used for molecular modeling and drug designing in Linux environment with the latest drug designing tools and techniques. The students are allowed for surfing to fulfill their academic and research-oriented requirements. The facilities in Brief High-speed Broadband internet connection with (32 Mbps). All time access to students and teachers for academic purpose only. Uses Licensed Software for each individual node. Few are with Linux configured for advance drug designing in GUI mode. We stable networking and well managed LAN network.
