JSPMs Bhivarabai Sawant Institute of Technology and Research, Pune Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has two well-furnished and ventilated girls' hostels (Hostel A and Hostel B) with a total capacity of 585 students.

The college has fully equipped dispensaries with doctors available at our premises. Various medical checkups and campaigns are held free of charge for all the students and faculty members during every academic year.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a Library. It is well stocked with recommended texts and reference books, e-books, e-journals, printed journals, CDs, rare books, a digital library with an air-conditioned reading room, etc. The library has taken membership of the DELNET database.

The college provides Academic learning and sports education are which complement each other. They resemble the two sides of the same coin. If sports education is carried out alongside the academic curriculum, the overall personality of the student is enhanced to a greater extent. They get the qualities of leadership, sharing, team spirit, and tolerance from sports. Sports education not only teaches students to maintain physical stamina but also the habit of obedience, discipline, the determination to win, willpower, etc. The power of reasoning, mental development, and vocational specialization comes from academics to the students. Therefore, sports education, along with academics, results in the mental, moral, and physical development of the students. In order to achieve this objective, the institute has the following sports facilities.

The college provides a system administrator who is appointed to maintain the IT facilities in the institute. In case of major maintenance issues, vendors are hired for the maintenance of IT facilities.

The college provides canteen facilities. The campus currently houses 2 canteens. These are spacious and provide excellent service. Great care is taken to maintain hygiene and provide healthy food. Mess facilities are also provided at a reasonable rate for students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The institute has a common seminar hall with audiovisual facilities for conducting online conferences, seminars, and workshops. In addition to the above, each department has its own seminar hall to conduct departmental activities.

The college campus offers a bus facility to students coming from distant places within Pune City. Buses with a capacity of 25-30 seats pass through the different routs so as to cover major areas and colonies of Pune. These buses are also used for industrial visits and short-distance trips. Students and faculty can avail the bus facility by paying the requisite fees.

The College has IT facilities, including WI-FI and a sufficient number of computers and the required number of peripherals. The available facilities facilitate the ICT-enabled teaching-learning process and evaluation, research activities, and administration. The departments have system software and application software, both licensed and open-source software.

The College has well-equipped laboratories. All labs are equipped with adequate instruments /equipment to meet the curriculum requirements.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has the convenience of the students and staff, and to save their valuable time, the college provides facility of ATM. The college has an ICICI ATM center within the campus, providing services to Students and Staff and also the people from adjoining villages.

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like photocopying facility & stationery, etc.)

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college's Training and Placement Cell is one of the focal points. The team consists of the central training and placement officer assisted by Department Training and Placement coordinators. The cell is responsible for various activities like maintaining students’ database and industry database, Liaoning with industries/institutes, organizing training programmes and campus drives. Technical and Non-Technical training programmes/events organized include Technical workshop/seminars in accordance with the domain requirements of the industry visiting the campus.

The college provides a central studio and has a Virtual classroom with an LED screen through this facility. Video conferencing & guest lectures are arranged for students & staff. Faculty members of different institutes of JSPM are encouraged to deliver lectures on topics of importance through this system. The central studio of this system is located at JSPM's corporate office. This facility is unique and is effectively used in the teaching-learning process.

The college has an Extracurricular activities facility for all students.

The college has student clubs like Heritage Club, Music Club, Sports Club, Coder Club, Green Club, IOT Club, etc.

The college has a smart classroom facility for students. The interactive board turns a typical classroom into a fun learning environment. It enriches classrooms in several ways by providing hands-on collaboration and creating the perfect learning setting. The institute has provided 1 smart board to every department.
