Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is a four-year (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered by the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.

Electronics and Telecommunication has become part of our daily life in the form of computers, laptops, mobile phones, television, digital watches, ATM card, internet banking, microwave oven, agriculture, telemedicine, automation and many more digital gadgets, and communication systems.

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering is committed to develop competent engineers ready to solve real world problems related to the field of electronics and communications. The department has always been on a high growth path and has experienced and dedicated faculty members with a strong devotion in the field of engineering education. The major areas of faculty expertise include Basic Electronics, Communication Systems, Computer Networks, Control Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Instrumentation, Signal Processing, RF & Microwaves and VLSI Systems.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects (Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects) and obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together
The candidate should have should obtain a non-zero score in the qualifying entrance examination
Any other criterion declared from time to time by the Admitting Authority - Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

College Infrastructure

Since 2024, I have seen many changes made to the already great infrastructure. ACs in classes, renovated bathrooms, new labs etc. Both the buildings have a great infrastructure and basic facilities required. The laboratories as well as classes are regularly maintained. The washrooms are also regularly cleaned. The library lacks AC but is built over 3 floors and extensive. The canteen has variety as well as great food, which keeps improving as well.

Good faculty and nice environment .

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the campus is good with modern facilities. There is sufficient greenery, and the atmosphere is serene. The hostels are well furnished, although there is a difference in facilities for the boys' and girls' hostels. The mess food is clean and healthy.

College Infrastructure

College is having an outstanding infrastructure and having well equipped laboratories. WiFi range is decent in B building. KJSCE is having proper, well maintained libraries, sports centers and hostels. Living spaces and canteens are quite hygienic.
