Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by Directorate of Technical Education, Chandigarh and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
A candidate seeking admission in Diploma in Engineering should have passed 10th or High School Examination or its equivalent of an approved Board.
Diploma DET-L-Lateral Entry Courses :
All those candidates who have passed ITI at least with one year (who passed 10th level school leaving examination before admission to ITI courses), 10+2 (vocational) or 10+2 with PCM would be eligible for consideration for lateral entry in the session in various Diploma Engineering courses only as per the compatibility of the courses as mentioned below. Candidates who have appeared/ are appearing in the qualifying ITI or 10+2 with PCM or 10+2 vocational examination to be held during a current session shall also be eligible to apply for admission subject to the condition that the candidate proves his/her eligibility criteria at the time of reporting at the allotted institute.
Compatibility of Polytechnic Courses with ITI Courses :1. Any Diploma Engg. Course ITI in any Engg. Trades 2. Any Non Engg. Diploma Course ITI in any Non-Engg. Trades.
