Kidderpore College, Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has Library is devoted to disseminate formal as well as informal knowledge to satisfy the information needs of the students. It complements classroom study through its collection of various kinds and forms of documents. The Library’s extension activities include celebration of the Library Day every year focusing on different themes to make students truly informed, creative and intellectually more competent.The Library offers

• A repository of around 29,000 text and reference books in addition to periodicals, newspaper articles and CD/DVDs;
• Career-guidance books under Entry in Service Scheme of the UGC;
• 4 newspapers and 6 magazines for reading;

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for all the students and staff.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for all the students. It also serves as our Seminar and Conference room.

The College has a Canteen for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.

The College has Besides regular Computer Applications training, students who are interested in advanced courses get the facility beyond the college hours

The college has Well- equipped Gymnasium that enables students to train themselves physically.

The  College has the boys’ and girls’ Common Rooms have facilities for indoor games. The Students’ Union, on the guidance of the Professor – in – Charge (Sports) and the Union Game Secretary, organizes sports teams to participate in Inter – College sports tournaments held by the University of Calcutta and the Sports Directorate (West Bengal). Football, Cricket and athletics are mainly encouraged. The students with District, State & National level sports certificates are given special aid and full free- studentship .
The college has been imparting training to interested students since 2008 through a Physical Instructor. Students regularly win trophies in Football, Cricket and athletics.

There are two NSS units in the college NSS units I and II, they perform social services of various kinds. The Programme officer of NSS unit I is Dr Chandrabali Das and that of unit II is Dr. Dibyendu Roy. In 2014 the NSS units I and II organized a grand blood donation camp on the College premises. In 2015-16 the two NSS units organized the Cancer Awareness Programme in collaboration with the K.K Chatterjee Memorial Association Dr Ramdas Chatterjee, the President of this organization delivered a very useful lecture on the subject. Once again in February 2016, the NSS units organized an awareness programme entitled “ Save the Girl Child “ in collaboration with Anjana Ghosh Memorial Social Welfare Trust.
