B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at MACET Patna Offline Course

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a combination of any three subjects from the following: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship. They must have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the chosen subjects taken together.

Alternatively, candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in any relevant field with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) are also eligible for admission to the First Year if lateral entry seats remain unfilled. For such candidates, universities may provide bridge courses in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering Drawing to ensure smooth academic progression.

Lateral Entry

Candidates seeking lateral entry to the second year of the B.Tech. program must have passed a minimum of a three-year diploma or a two-year diploma (lateral entry) in any branch of Engineering and Technology. They must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories).
