24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Psychiatric Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the postgraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
Must be registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
• The Candidate must have completed a B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
• A minimum of one year of work experience in either clinical service or teaching is required.
(Note: This is not mandatory for candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing qualifications.)
• For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing candidates, the one year of experience must be before or after registration with the
Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the program.
• Male candidates should have completed an alternate course prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council instead of midwifery.
