core branches like mechanical,electrical in nit silcher,nit patna

chemical,civil at nit bhopal.nit rourkela,nit hamirpur,nit nagpur,nit surat,nit jaipur(till spot round in some)

Since  youhave not mentioned any category I will assume that you belong to the general category and will answer according to that.

According to previous year trends you have chances of getting a seat in NISER Bhubaneswar.

The previous year cutoff rank after all the rounds of counseling was around 800.

For CEBS Mumbai the cutoff was around 400.

Please note that these are previous year cutoffs and might fluctuate over the years. And nothing can be said with absolute certainty until the results of the counseling rounds are out.

Hello student, 

Considering basic sciences as the career, the institution can't be compared. NISER has got best of facilities, laboratories, faculties and at the same time UM DAE CBS got its campus in Mumbai and most of its visiting professors are from TIFR Mumbai. NISER is better as it got permanent faculties. NISER got nearly 130 seats which is higher than UM DAE capacity.

Hey Krishna ,If we consider past two years cutoff you are not eligible to got NISER . 

In 2017 :-

1st round - 624

2nd round - 671 

In 2018 :- 

1st round - 552

2nd round - 654 

From this you got a idea about cutoffs. 

For 1st round it's about 500 and for 2nd round it's about 600.

The cutoff marks for NEST usually range from 80-100 marks.

However just clearing the cutoff is not enough to ensure admission into an NISER.

You need to obtain a high rank .

I believe your chances of getting into an NISER are low.

Hi Mamta,

As per your marks, you have chances to get CEBS or NISER. The cut off for General category is 90 and the cut off for SC category is 50% of General cut off i.e., 45.
