This year NEST Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Age Limit is:-

Candidates who apply must be born on or after August 1999. The age limit for SC/ST candidates will be relaxed upto 5 years.

Considering that, in 2023 , candidates must be born on or after August 2003 to be eligible for NEST exam.
So , you will not be eligible.

Dear Pritam, NISER Bhubaneswar will release the NEST application along with UM-DAE-CBS tentatively in the 1st week of January 2020 online. Candidates can fill in the application forms until 3rd week of March. The exam will be conducted in the month of June 2020. The lower age limit to be able to sit for NISER entrance examination is 20 years for the general candidates. This means that if you are willing to give the test in the year 2020 then you need to be born on or after 1st August, 2000 since the registration process is already over for the year 2019.

Yes, you are elligible for NISER Examination. This exam requires at least the candidate to be born of 1999. And there is no upper age limit for this exam. You may give this exam as many number of times you want. 

It includes:- 

1) General Section of 30 marks.

2) Biology of 50 marks.

3) Chemistry of 50 marks.

4) Physics of 50 marks.

5) Mathematics of 50 marks.

So you must be opting PCMB in your 11th and 12th standard. The syllabus will be as of NCERT pr as pee CBSE curricullum.

NEST is basically a screening test which if qualified gives students a seat in NISER.
The candidates belonging to general or OBC category is required to be born on or after august 1 in the year 2000. This means that in order to be eligible for NEST 2020, they need to be at least 20 years of age. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PD candidates.

For admission into integrated M.Sc. programme of NISER/CBS, candidates must be born on or after August 1, 1998. For SC/ST/PD Candidates, there is a relaxation of 5 years.There is no upper age limit. Also, there is no restriction on number of times a candidate can appear for NEST exam.

Dear Priyadharshini, Candidates belonging to General/OBC Category must have been born on or after August 1st, 2000. There is a relaxation of 5 years for Reserved Categories. Notification regarding NEST 2020 will be released tentatively in the month of January 2020.

Well, the minimum age requirement of NISER Examination is 20 years. Thereafter the candidate may give the exam at any age and as many time he/she wants to, because there is no upper age limit.

Ofcourse, you are elligible for the NEST exam. NEST exam gives you an option of 4 subjects (It has a total of 5 sections), in which you get PCMB. There is no elligibility requirements that demands you to be a PCMB student to appear for the exam.

If you are very passionate about getting into NISER, Bubaneshwar, there is nothing wrong in trying long term. Infact the syllabus of NEST, NEET are all more or less based on NCERT. And thus you can also appear for NEST and try for IISc, Bangalore.

National institute of science education and research which is situated in Bhubaneswar provides the degree of Homi bhabha National institute Our institute is famous for its high-level academic studies and laboratory for various experiments. There are well-maintained academic buildings, hostels, staff residents, a health center, a shopping complex, and canteens. Free Wi fi in all over the campus

College Infrastructure

The college has most of basic features as it is a national level institute. So facilities like bigger grounds for sports, clean classrooms & hostels inside the campus, library etc were present. So overall very good experience in terms of having good infrastructure.

How is LIFE in NISER.

The infrastructure in NISER is very modern and labs are pretty hi-tech and there are lot of facilities within campus like Shopping Complex, Medical Center, Indoor Sports Arena, Saloon, etc. In a whole you will get every day-to-day necessities within the campus which very few science colleges in our country have. Also the hostel infrastructure is also very good with high speed LAN connection and Outdoor Wi-Fi with good download and upload speed. In a whole, it's perfect.
