I WANTED, TO PREPARE NISER NEST BY TAKING LONG TERM, IS THIS A GOOD IDEA?

Hi Harshini,

If you are very passionate about getting into NISER, Bubaneshwar, there is nothing wrong in trying long term. Infact the syllabus of NEST, NEET are all more or less based on NCERT. And thus you can also appear for NEST and try for IISc, Bangalore.

My expected marks in nest 2019 is 70.Can I qualify for niser?I belong to obc category.

Hi Pratik,

The predicted cutoff for the year 2019 is 800 for General, 280 for OBC, 150 for SC. 30 for ST, 6 for PwD and 3 for JK. For OBC category, the aim score should be above 120 to be on the safer side. For a score of 70, the rank might change drastically. Do not lose hope. You can try next year, if you are very passionate.

What should be a safe score in nest to get admission into niser bbsr for obc category?

The predicted cutoff for the year 2019 is 800 for General, 280 for OBC, 150 for SC. 30 for ST, 6 for PwD and 3 for JK. For OBC category, you should aim for a rank less than 200 to be safe. Your aim score should be above 120 to be on the safer side.

I got General merit list rank 274 in Nest 2019 for NISER Can i get into NISER with that rank?

Hi Sarbajit,

Ofcourse, you can get it into NISER, Bubaneshwar. The cutoff rank for Geeral category candidates last year and that predicted this year is 800. And with a rank of 274 you have high probability of getting a seat in first counselling.

My son in nest 2019 mark 41 and percentile 74.8530 in obc category and how can join in niser

Hi Sonu,

The total number of seats in NISER, Bubhaneshwar, is only around 172. And there are thousands of candidates competing for this. I am sorry to say that getting a seat in NISER with 74.853 is quite impossible. Do not lose hope. You can ask to try next year again.

What is the age limit in niser

Hello,Aspirant

NEST Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Age Limit

Candidates who apply must be born on or after August 1999. The age limit for SC/ST candidates will be relaxed upto 5 years.
Candidates belonging to the reserved category need to submit their reservation eligibility certificates only during the admission counselling process.

Well, if you interested in doing engineering and want a good placement in IT sectors or some other MNCs after your graduation then i suggest you to gor for the NITs. This would fulfil all your dreams and give you all the things that you want in your life..
Now, talking about NISER...
NISER will train you and expose you to research in basic sciences.. If you are interested in topics like astrophysics, particle physics and some more fundamentals of physics.. Then i prefer you to go for NISER...

Can I get admission in NISER with SC rank 63 and General Rank 1444.?

Hello Aspirant,

NISER has released the category wise rank list for the exam and the category rank cut-off for counselling for SC category students is 150, and for general category it is 800.

You have good chances with your SC rank of 63 since the cut-off is at 150 rank so you will be eligible for counselling.

In 2018, the cut-off ranks for SC category students was 240 and it was 800 for general category.

My merit rank is 151 and obc rank is 22 in NEST 2019, can i get into NISER (PHYSICS)?

Cutoff rank predicted for the year 2019 is,

For NISER Bubaneshwar,

OBC - 280.

Even in the merit list, you seem to have cleared the required rank. There is a high chance of getting into NISER, Bubaneshwar.

For the stream of Physics, you can still hope for the same. Physics might be one of the first filling courses in NISER counselling, but still there is a possibility for you, as you have got a very good rank.

The counselling is on 12th of July.

College Infrastructure

The college has most of basic features as it is a national level institute. So facilities like bigger grounds for sports, clean classrooms & hostels inside the campus, library etc were present. So overall very good experience in terms of having good infrastructure.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure in NISER is very modern and labs are pretty hi-tech and there are lot of facilities within campus like Shopping Complex, Medical Center, Indoor Sports Arena, Saloon, etc. In a whole you will get every day-to-day necessities within the campus which very few science colleges in our country have. Also the hostel infrastructure is also very good with high speed LAN connection and Outdoor Wi-Fi with good download and upload speed. In a whole, it's perfect.
