National Institute of Virology, Pune admission to MSc Virology and PhD programs are offered through an Online Entrance Examination (OEE) conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Candidates with CSIR-NET, ICMR-JRF, UGC-NET, DBT-JRF, DST-Inspire fellowships are eligible to enroll for the PhD program at ICMR-NIV through the SPPU. MSc Virology	Online Entrance Examination conducted by SSPU	Individuals holding degrees in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medicine (MBBS), Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc., M.V.Sc.), Botany, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Zoology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, Pharmacy (B Pharm, M Pharm), as well as B Tech/M Tech in Engineering (Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics), are eligible to apply.
PhD	ICMR-JRF/ CSIR-NET/ UGC-NET/ DBT-JRF/ DST-Inspire fellowships/ PhD Entrance Test conducted by SPPU	Candidates must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field. Candidates who have completed M.Phil coursework with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for reserved category) and have obtained the M.Phil degree are eligible. Candidates who have completed M.Phil dissertations however, viva voce is pending are also eligible. Candidates holding degrees equivalent to the Indian M.Phil. degree from foreign educational institutions accredited by authorized assessment and accreditation agencies are also eligible for admission.
M.Phil	-	Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional degree recognized by the corresponding statutory regulatory body with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category students).

Eligible candidates are required to register and fill an online application form by entering required details, uploading required documents and paying application form fee.
Successfully registered candidates are issued an admit card which can be downloaded from the official website of NIVE, Pune.
Candidates need to appear for Online Entrance Examination (OEE) at the designated exam centres.
The authority declares the result in the form of a merit list. The merit list includes candidates rank obtained, name, course name, course code, application number, marks, and category among other details.
Qualified candidates are called for the counselling process.
Shortlisted candidates are required to submit admission fees to secure their seat in the institute.

how can I get into msc virology at National institute of virology, pune? when will the admission processes start? (for 2021-22)

As of now no detailed information related to admission of MSc Virology has been updated at the official website of National Institute of Virology, you can stay updated at https://www.niv.co.in/ for more details regarding this, but as per the syllabus of last year exam pattern, the syllabus has two part out of which the first one is of 20 marks carrying 10 questions pertaining to general awareness, and second part is of 80 marks carrying 40 questions mainly from areas of graduate level life science subjects such as biotechnology, microbiology, botany, zoology, medicine, veterinary science. The eligibility criteria for the course is passed bachelor's degree in any discipline of zoology, botany, biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, veterinary science with 60% aggregate, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%.
