Ramnagar College, Purba Medinipur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a hostel facility for the boys (30 seats) having the capacity to accommodate 60 boarders. Both the hostels are located on the college campus and managed by the ‘Hostel Sub-Committee”. Admission is governed through a notification and strictly on the basis of distance from the residence of the students. Priorities are given to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, Other Backward Communities, and physically challenged students.

The college has conducted free health check-up facilities from time to time. Distinguished doctors are invited for giving such facilities to the staff as well as students. Besides free medical treatment is provided to all the staff along with the students by a doctor of the neighboring area every Saturday. First aid facilities are provided by the department of physiology. They also provide facilities for checking blood sugar, blood pressure, etc.

The College has a rich and useful library consisting of nearly 19,000 books, journals, and a reading room where the students can read books during college hours. For lending books, each student is given a library card and they are directed to present the same at the time of borrowing books. The Library is well-equipped with an internet facility for the use of both students and teachers. The computerization process of Library resources is under pipeline and the library staff and officials are determined to complete it by 30/06/2014. In the last academic session e-resources (like e-journals and e-books) as offered by the influx, an organ of Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of India has been introduced for wider use of students, teachers, and researchers, and others as a whole. At the same time, Departmental Libraries are in operation in some Departments to support reading materials among the interested students as well.

The college has a playground for students to play Football, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Volley Ball, Badminton, etc.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a clean and hygienic Canteen.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.
