Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is a full-time four-year course degree offered by Dr DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai and approved by AICTE.

Over the past two decades,B. Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering has played a pivotal role in improving quality of human life and also contributed to the economic growth of our nation and the world at large. The telecommunication industry is the backbone of today’s mobile landscape, deploying voice, data, graphics and video at ever-increasing speeds. Wireline telephone communication was once the primary service of the industry, but wireless communication and satellite distribution are becoming increasingly dominant. Specialists in telecommunications engineering are needed to keep up with this ever-changing fast-paced industry.

The objective of this programme is to impart strong theoretical and practical knowledge in the domain of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. This course lays greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles and state of the art knowledge about Electronic Devices and Circuits, Microprocessors, Embedded systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Analog and Digital Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Microwave and 5G Mobile Communications. The department is equipped with the state of the art equipment’s like Radar systems, variety of antennas with testing and measurement systems like Vector Network Analyzer, This facilitates various research activities. The department encourages students to carry out innovative research to match the needs of the technical education system, the industry and our society. The scope of Electronics and Telecommunication engineers range from creating circuit designs to deploying wireless communication networks and fiber optics, internet protocol data systems.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.

The candidate should have passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Lateral entry

Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories, and Persons with Disability) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories, and Persons with Disability) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.

Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is really good. It has lot of facilities available and they are well maintained. It has classrooms, labs, hostels, libraries, sports areas and canteens. Labs are well equipped with all the required equipment and they are well maintained. Library has good collections of books along with internet access. Classrooms are very spacious and are equipped with projectors. Canteen food is also good and has lot of options available in the menu. Cleanliness is maintained throughout the campus.

College Infrastructure

Great infrastructure with rooms and labs.College library is also good with enough rooms for any other activities for studying, project building, for hackathons etc. Sufficient ground space for outdoor activities too.

College Infrastructure

Yes my college consider all the necessary infrastructure such as playground, courts, auditorium, laboratories, library, stadium etc. Also the classrooms are equipped with smart boards. Our college have hostel facility which is spearate for boys and girls. Food of mess is just like home made food and they are made in a well hygiene kitchen of college and hygiene is one of the main factor which is taken care by the cleaning staff of the college.
