It has beds, wardrobes, chairs, and tables. Double occupancy rooms are available. Washrooms are good. We also have rented rooms near our campus.

Professors are very good. They are very approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant. We have 6 major exams each year that follow the term system. The pass percentage is 35%. Around 80% of attendance is mandatory in this college.

It is a Government run institution in Kolkata, so the infrastructure both in College & Hospital is of top notch level. The various Medical and Surgical departments are equipped with advanced instruments & machines. It is the first Government hospital of Eastern India, where the first Robotic knee replacement surgery was done a few years ago. Laboratories are well equipped too. We have a huge library space, which can accommodate more than 300 people at a time. Some seminar and lecture rooms have smart boards too. There are some flaws too. Water logging in some part of the premises during rainy season worth mentioning. But over all, the infrastructure is good.

Academics in RG Kar is good. Most of the professors & teaching staffs of various departments are approachable. Patient rush to our institution is very high, so clinical postings in wards provides enormous opportunities to learn from different cases. Hands on training experience is up to the mark.
Placements
After MBBS, housestaffship job in different clinical departments, is available for some of the pass-outs. So Others usually go for RMO ships in private hospitals. A large number students opt for preparation of NEET PG after completing MBBS.

Campus life is good. Besides academics and clinical postings, students have multiple options to engage into various competitions, quizzes, academic & cultural fests. We have a gym in Boys' Common Room but it's not maintained well. One other flaw is, our institution lack a playground. So various Sports competitions are organised in nearby playgrounds, outside the campus.

An on-campus doctor is available but in a fixed timing. The mess serves average food quality, and a cafeteria is also available. Playground and courts are also available for sports.

Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is good, and emphasis on learning. Assignments and tests provided to us help in understanding the industry basics. The course curriculum is very well designed. The concepts and techniques learned here will apply well in the industry.

Almost 99% of the students from our course were placed. The lowest salary package of 3.5 to 4 LPA and the highest salary package of 9 to 10 LPA and the average salary package of 5 to 6 LPA are offered in our college. Goldman Sachs, big four (KPMG, Deloitte, PWC and Ernst & Young), SPCL, Godrej Properties, JLL, L&T, etc., are the top recruiters. The project manager is the top role offered in our course. Almost 100% of the students got internships in companies like Goldman Sachs, SPCL, etc.
