As far comparing to other college in Chennai, I feel Stella Maris have good infrastructure. They have four good hostel for students with high security , laboratories with advanced equipments which helps students to take up their own research . the college also have many clubs like western dance club , event management club and so on for students which enables them to showcase their talents. To mention specifically it have ramps and other special equipment for physically challenged students.
Academics
A wonderful place to explore all knowldege and talent. The college more than 40 courses .The admission is purely merit based. You can find best teachers for the course . The content of the course is more comprehensive and elaborates. Each students is given opportunity to take up course from different departments which help them to explore other content too.At the end of every semester students were asked to take up a online review census about each subject ,the facilities.
Placements
The college have a placement cell , which is supported by the alumni of the college. Interested students can register themselves , college will provide special training and even conduct mock interviews. Students in final year will also get notified about the job vacancies in their field . other than this students can get placed in various other important and prestigious institutions all over the world .
Campus Life
There is a big campus for the NSC students and sports person. Study is the major concentration there . however the library was excellent . collection of rare books can be seen there .it's a whole new world basically , you get to interact with foreign exchange students , various other famous successful personality of your field .The management always try to create a friendly and eco friendly campus for the students. College is provided with height security since it's a women college.

College Infrastructure
Infrastructure for the campus has been expanded to a great extent with the addition of new labs underway. A new gym along with a food court has been recently developed in the campus with a swimming pool under construction. Vit is equipped with all the required facilities. The hostels are well developed too.
Academics
A lot of professors are highly qualified and helpful in the ventures taken up by the students. The curriculum provides all-round knowledge to the students and helps them choose the path they want to follow themselves. Though choosing the courses for ourselves is a benefit provided in VIT, it sometimes restricts students to specialise in one field. In another sense, the curriculum helps students acquire knowledge about a variety of fields.
Placements
The college has strict rules, but it is good while working in the company. The college is well-known for its placements. About 90-95% of the students get placements. It depends on the students' overall performance and grabbing opportunities. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA.

College has a impressive and well equipped infrastructure with fully air conditioned classrooms of every department, it has a central library, 6 computer labs with properly working computer systems, 18 science laboratories, it has a very good playground, indoor playing sports room ,medical room and a big canteen, hostel facility available for boys only, wifi facility is good, gym is also there in the college premises and living spaces & food are clean and hygiene .

I am pursuing my Bcom(hons) from Hansraj college because of well known, reputed and highly ranked college all over India , quality of teaching is best here, faculty is highly qualified and dedicated towards teaching and they rarely miss any lecture. Curriculum is updated regularly and includes all the recent developments in the field . What we study here makes us ready for job is best part I can say.
Placements
The placement cell of Hansraj is active and provides great opportunities to students for jobs and internships. Placement Rathi is very good. Well reputed companies like Bain and co., McKinsey, Deloitte and many other visits to the campus . Almost students are placed well with a average package of 6 lakhs .

Campus is really great and amazing and also very big. Mainly it is located in north campus, the best part surrounded by Kamla nagar market with a lot of new things, exposure and so much eateries. There are many societies in the college and at lovers point , it is really loveable to spend time there.

The infrastructure of the college is quite well and good. Although the renovation work of various department buildings and laboratories is in progress but is expected to be completed soon. The central library has enough space and has a huge collection of books for academics and competitive examinations both. The hostels are maintained quite well and clean and the mess food is also hygienic. There is no wifi facility available in hostels but work is in progress to connect hostels with OFC.

The institute has a good number of well-qualified professors in all the departments and the quality of their teaching is good and very much informative. The curriculum of all the departments in the institute run parallel to that of IIT Kharagpur. The Centre of Excellence established in the institute has various advanced siemens laboratories where students can take advanced trainings related to their branch and groom themselves. The institute also provides GATE and CAT coaching to the students.
Placements
The placement record of the college is above average but not too strong. A good number of soft and core companies like TATA STEEL, WIPRO, TATA POWER, JSL, etc visit the campus every year and offer jobs as well as internships to the students. The average package goes around 5.5 to 6 LPA. The placement cell of the institute is working hard to bring more number of companies on the campus. There is also a Startup cell that helps the budding startup minds in the institute to get the right direction.
Campus Life
The campus life here is just full of fun. There are various cultural and technical clubs in the institute where students can persue their hobbies like photography, singing, painting, etc. These clubs organize various online events as well as mega cultural and technical fests every year where students can engage themselves and compete with each other. The institute is located in Sindri and there is Sindri Railway Station just outside the campus.

I studied civil engineering and quality of teaching is pretty average.As a student you have to work on yourself alot.Continous courses and continuous book reading will only fetch you something good here.Curriculum is outdated and recent developments are not included.Study will not make you job ready but practical training and exposure will definitely make but in this case college doesn't provide enough industry exposure and industrial visits are less.

Pretty average placements.Nothing significant is achievable from here.Only 10 percent of students gets the placement.College has its placement cell which doesn't work at all.Average salary is not disclosed by the college.30 percent of batch gets successfully placed.Rest all the students need to have the job after the college gets over and they have to search it on their own.

Campus life is great.Campus is good and infrastructure is amazing.College organises picnics and trips for around 2 weeks every year.This makes college life very memorable and happy.

I'm studying in the department of computer science. The quality of teaching is really good. We have best faculty who motivate us in every aspect and guide us through the right path. The curriculum is updated as per the affiliation.

We have seen our seniors getting placed in various top companies. The average salary offered is around 3.5 lakh per annum but the highest package is 12 lakhs per annum. The training and support we get from the placement cell makes the job process more easy.

Yes it has all the necessary equipment. Sports facilities are awesome. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts, a gym as well. Wifi is bad sometimes, but its fine. We have octogon(computer center) with high speed internet. Library is very big and well maintained and almost has whatever books you require. NITT is also going to get a super computer soon.

ECE. Curriculum is well updated. U can pass, just by studying a night before. Though you don't get the branch u need, you will have option of choosing electives in third year and study the subject you are interested in.

Just awesome. Stone benches, CCD, lassi shop, D3 dhaba, not costly, but so damn good. Need not worry about emergencies, there is a 24/7 hospital with a back up ambulance. You will also be getting medical insurance from college for further treatment if needed.

No.. The only drawback of our college according to me is our infrastructure. We don't have our own playground due to which students are not able to participate in various sports competition held at university level. The classroom are not cleaned. The benches are scrubbled and most of them are not in proper condition.

We are studying at one of the top university of our country which follows most modern curriculum and flexibility. Students are allowed to choose the subjects of their choice from the various list. The heart of our college is our faculty. We have experienced and well trained teachers who help the students at every level.

The placement of our batch is quite impressive. More than 60% students are placed. Some of the companies who visited our college for the recruitment drive are Ernst&Young, Direct Admission Group, Connect2India etc.

The college boasts about state of the art infrastructure with well maintained campus, the classrooms have adequate light and are airy, the central library provides for all our book needs and we also have access to digital library. The college also has hostels within the campus which are spacious and affordable. The canteen of Heritage provides us with healthy and affordable foods. The lab in my department are large and maintained, however some of the instruments need replacements.

Biotechnology curriculum and faculty is one of the best not only in the college but also in the Eastern Region. Every year nearly 15 students qualify GATE from our department which has a strength of 60 students, which is quite a good number. Most of the students opt for higher studies and perform quite well there too..

Though, every year you'll hear about problems in placement, yet most of the students get placed on campus. Nearly 60-80% students get placed overall. The average package is about 3.5-4.5 lpa. Ultimately, placement depends more on your skills. I bagged a job in Biotech core company with 4.37lpa package, which is quite rare given the present market conditions. I'm grateful to college for providing me with all sorts of pre -placement assistance. The TPO cell is no doubt one of the best in HITK.

The campus life is full of ups and downs, though for the last 2-3 years we did not recieve the well known 'Eclecia' - The cultural fest of Heritage, we were all set to organize it this year, since the college even formed a students' council for the same. In previous years, the student activities were organized through clubs where the faculties were very helpful. nevertheless, there are enough activities and opportunities to keep you engaged.
