I am in Bcom. final year. Quality of teaching is average because teachers do not have much time to explain in details . Curriculum is ok but it can be improved and make some changes in it. It doesnot make so much job ready but it may be helpful in your future.

My review of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology
College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the KTR campus is the best among the other SRM campuses. For the freshmen year, the classes take place at the University Building for all departments whereas for the other years at Tech Park or High-Tecg block. The classes in Tech Park has no AC, with some broken chairs and unhygienic toilets. Hostels are decent but very overpriced, the mess food is manageable .
Academics
Some teachers are a gem to learn from, but most of the teachers don't have a proper knowledge of the subject. Most students resort to self-study. The curriculum is up to mark and follows the modern norms.
Placements
The placements have been good for the past 2 years, with median package of around 3 lakhs pa, but some high profile students have packed a hefty package. The only problem faced here is that KTR campus conducts placements for the students of other SRM campuses in Chennai, Haryana, NCR, so there will be much competition.

The campus life is excellent. You will get loads of oppoertunities for building your portfolio and learning new skills. Milan cultural fest, is one of the best college fests in the country,with many known celebrity gracing with their presence. Although, in the past couple of years, the campus have witnessed some violence from the localities residing near the campus.

The campus is good and large, but with no real protection. There have been cases of stealing , robbery etc which is unacceptable inside an educational campus. Also there are frequent cases of leopards entering the campus and hostels. And nothing has been done to ensure our safety.

Professors are good and qualified from IIT. Curriculum is as per required in the era of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Syllabus is designed as per with IIT syllabus because IIT Bombay is mentor of our Institute but still you have to study all basic subjects in first year(mechanical, workshop, electrical, ED etc) . Some teachers go to lower NIT to teach and organise sessions and workshops.

Placement is average. Average package of cse is 7lakh.24 lakh package is offered by adobe but it is off campus. Capgemini offered 8 lakh package this year. Placement of mechanical department is good.
