College Infrastructure
My daughter has taken admission here in the year of 2020 and from our point of view, the college infrastructure is way above average. They've got well planned classrooms, labs, libraries and sports centres. We've heard that the hostels are well enough too. The campus is neat and clean, and the meals offered by the canteen are also good.
Academics
She's doing her Bachelor's in Statistics and the faculty is good enough. Their curriculum is more updated as compared to other govt colleges, and the professors are well aware of students' difficulties and prepare them thoroughly for interviews, internships and further studies.
Placements
Don't know much about placements about any branches yet, but will definitely update if we get to know about it. As for the statistics department the placements received are around three to five or six lpa.
Campus Life
The location is pretty good, with the Newtown Coffee House just in front of their college, a good hangout place to start with. Their are many hospitals in the nearby areas. The campus itself is very clean and beautiful and most of the time students can be found engaged in various co-curricular activities. The staff is mostly friendly and cooperative. Grand fests occur every year and students are encouraged to participate actively in various disciplines.

Some teachers are good and some are really great and can provide a wide knowledge of their field. However, some teachers don't deserve to be there.well, that's the case of most colleges, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Placement is really good until you are a cse or IT student. The highest salary package offered is 43LPA. Many companies like Amazon, Adobe, Infosys etc visit our campus. Students have to work hard to get placed.

I'm pursuing my B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering and I feel the quality of education is excellent. Teachers are very supportive and communicate with students to understand their academic needs.Traditional method of blackboard teaching is combined with presentations and seminars by students to complement learning. Teachers and mentors also encourage students to participate in competitions and hackathons to apply classroom knowledge.

The placement record here is impressive. Though most of the high paying companies recruit from Computer Science and Information Technology branches of engineering, other branches are able to land decent packages as well. Realizing the need for knowledge in the IT sector, the college conducts programming and aptitude classes and tests. These initiatives allow students to crack company interviews easily.

The student community is diverse, with the population representing every part of India. There are numerous student clubs both technical and non-technical, that allows students to interact. The annual cultural fest, Cultura, is the most awaited event here with the activities ranging from gaming competitions to fashions shows to DJ nights. As far as infrastructure, facilities are concerned, SRM has outdone itself. The classrooms, labs, and libraries included all have the updated tech and the collection of the number of research books you can find at the library is just massive. If there are any issues, the IT Department at the SRM Institute solves the issue then and there. The hostel buildings, however, are too old. They are regularly well maintained, properly serviced but still are quite old and won't have the hygiene standards.

The curriculum is very well updated and includes all the things required for your field of study. The quality of teaching however lacks some standards and will not be up to the mark. Since most of the students come from outside the south of India, the communication between the student and teachers becomes difficult when it comes to speaking the common tongue, English.

As always, SRM has one of the best placement offices and most of the students are placed quite well. SRM students have been placed at Amazon, Paypal, and Microsoft in recent years. Most of the students find themselves in TCS, Infosys, or any of the top MNCs around the country.
