I am an ECE student, our college staff members are well educated and good at teaching each and every concept more clearly and also clarify our doubts.I don't think our curiculum has updated.But our college provides training programs for trending technologies.

South City College has only one building which is 'U' shaped. It runs 3 colleges in the same building (Morning, Day and Evening). It has a canteen, two libraries (Central and Seminar), Girls Common Room, a very small field, IT labs, WiFi (Basically you cannot use it as it gives very less data). Infrastructure is simply what you get in a government college.
Academics
South City College is famous for its commerce department. Most of the teacher's provide quality education. The semester results of this college comes quite good and you will only get a supple if you don't study at all. But don't expect full marks in internal as teacher's purposely don't give.
Placements
Placements Cell of this college is more or less below average. Companies like TCS, Indigo etc visit for campus recruitment but hardly five or ten students are recruited finally. Some companies come with Internship opportunities every year. So don't expect anything big unless you study in a private college.

I was a part of the B.Tech & M.Tech dual degree in Biotechnology course. We were the first batch to take admission into this course. The course was pretty flexible and designed as per the current industry trends. Classroom learning was supplemented with regular seminars and other events which greatly added to our learning.

Biotechnology as a stream struggles to create the same amount of job opportunities as compared to other courses. The government needs to invest more in this sector to create jobs for biotech graduates. Since we were the first batch, placing students was a difficult task. The average package was around 3LPA with the highest close to 5LPA. The placements have improved with every passing year.

NERIM college infrastructure is good and beautiful. There is also one girls hostel inside the campus and three others outside the campus. There is a library, e-library, computer lab, activity room, moot court, canteen in the college campus. Necessary books are also provided by the college. The classrooms are beautiful with ACs and projectors. Each floor has its own toilets and bathrooms. The food provided in the hostel is good compared to other hostels and living spaces are also clean.

I have done my BA.LLB (H.) for five years from 2014-2019. The quality of teaching is good as the college is very strict. We had to attend every class and attendance was taken in each of them. Yes, the curriculum was also updated and developed as all the recent changes are included in it. It was mandatory as per the curriculum to go through internships for two weeks and maintain a dairy of our learning after every semester. We were also taken to practical trips and give reports.

The placements depend upon the capacity of the student to bring it to college. However, some common placements with an average package come to the college for every student. BBA, BCA, and MBA placements take place every year. Since there are not much law firms or many companies in the North East, there were no placements for law students. But, nice placements with good packages come for other departments.
