What is the eligibility criteria for merchant navy

Hello
The eligibility for joining merchant navy is finishingclass 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates have to beunmarriedIndian citizens (male or female).Normal vision is required but glasses up to plus or minus 2.5 may be allowed.
Admission is through anentrancefollowed by a screening test and a main written examination.After clearing the test, there is aninterviewand amedicaltest.
You also need to complete aship-training courseprior to the employment. The course is generally short-term where the candidates are taught basic security concerns of voyaging.

I graduated in bscit with 60% and in hsc i just got 50% am i eligible for merchant navy???

Hi Shamraj,

to be eligible to apply for merchant navy, one must have an aggregate of 60% minimum as an aggregate in their examination and also they should have minimum of 50% in English as a separate subject. These are the minimum criteria to be eligible for merchant navy.

Yes you are eligible to appear for Merchant Navy without belonging to the Science stream. But do keep in mind, that this is only when you want to be a 'rating' and not an officer.

To become an officer, you will have to have Maths and Physics in your background specifically. And for 'rating' eligibility, you need to pass class 10th.

General Purpose 'Ratings' can choose to work in the Deck Department or the Engine Department.

To join Merchant Navy after High School (Class twelfth) you need to show up from IMU CET test. Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is an all India online normal passageway tests overseen by the Indian Maritime University and is for everybody who wishes to join the pined for calling of Merchant Navy. A competitor can enlist for an undergrad and postgraduate program under IMU CET. Every one of the projects and courses are offered by IMU (Indian Maritime University)and its subsidiary Institution. Age Criteria:

Least Age: The base age limit ought to be 17 years as on seventeenth July 2019.

Capability Criteria:

Courses Eligibility

Or then again

Passed BE/B.Tech with least half checks.

Note: English Marks are to be half or more in any of the above examination.

infrastructure wise the college is quite good. it has all the essentials that are required to be there in a hospitality management college. there are events like cooking workshop chef challenge bartending skills workshop etc.
