Mining Engineering is one of the most interesting branches of engineering which is concened with the earthly activities like drilling and blasting, materials handling, rock mechanics, mine health and safety, mine ventilation, mine cost engineering, ore reserve analysis, operations analysis, mine planning and minerals processing, etc. The main function of mining engineers is to put the knowledge of scientific theories, engineering fundamentals and developed technologies to discover and recover natural resources in a profitable manner.

Admission Details
- CG Quota - Admission is carried out through Online Counselling being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Chhattisgarh. The Counselling is based on the Marks obtained in 10+2 and Score obtained in the Pre Engineering Test (PET) conducted by the State Govt.
- Other State Quota - The Admission is carried out through Online Counselling being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Chhattisgarh. The Counselling is based on the Marks obtained in 10+2 and Score obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) at National Level.
- Management Quota - The Admission is carried out internally at the Institute / College Level. Students from Chhattisgarh State, as well as Outside State, are eligible for Admission based on the Marks obtained in 10+2 and Score obtained in Pre Engineering Test (PET) / Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main).
