Sambhu Nath College, Birbhum Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library is being managed by an Assistant Librarian and two other support staff. At least two books for each honors student and one book for each general student are issued at a time. But students having an attendance of 75 % and above are issued more books as per requirements and availability. Various journals are available for students as well as faculty members. Online and Internet services are available in the library for academic purposes. The library catalog is fully computerized. The college has been given access to a large number of online research journals through N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content). There is a nice and airy reading hall in the library for study and research during college working hours.

Every department of the college also has a department library. The department library keeps important study materials that are accessible to students at any time. Access to those study materials is given more priority to needy but meritorious students.

The College: A huge playground on the college campus is definitely boosting our sports endeavors. This playground is extremely important not only for our students but also for the neighboring sports-loving people. The playground is named after the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. For the last two years, DPI-sponsored Birbhum district College sports have been organized in our college along with other sports activities throughout the year. Under the convener ship of Dr.Kunal Chakraborty, every member of the Games and Sports subcommittee always try their level best to achieve the desired goal.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The canteen was entirely remodeled to cope with its increasing demands. The Canteen is run under the kin-supervision of the Secretary, the Teachers Council. Students and teachers who came from various parts of the district and from other districts find the canteen is like a lifeline to them. Anytime during College hours, you can find our canteen man was too busy with canteen affairs, facing everyone in the canteen with a refreshing smile as always. A separate girls' canteen room, along with the general canteen, is one of the significant features of our canteen.

The College Alumni started in the year 2004 to re-establish (without registration no) the lost communication with its alumni spread all over the country. The alumni members discussed the various academic and infrastructural facilities of the college in its meetings. The college meets with the Alumni at regular intervals. They also participate in various cultural activities on the college campus.

The College. To cope with the technological advancement in academic institutions our college has already set up a free Wi-Fi facility on campus. Along with the academic-administrative building, most of the campus is well-connected through Wi-Fi.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. The College Health Care Unit has established in the year 2008 to build up medical awareness among the students, teachers, and staff

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. For the long-time demand of the student's union, a minimum-equipped gymnasium has already been established in the campus to encourage fitness and sports endeavors among the students and faculty members.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility, which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College To fulfill the valid demands of the student's union for the benefit of the college students, college authority had established a cheap cost Xerox center within the campus.

The college also provides good classroom facilities for all the students.
