Mechanical Engineering is a very strategic segment of the Engineering curricula where engineers for the 21st Century Are being produced with multi-faceted capabilities. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines that involves with production and usage of heat, and use of mechanical power for design, production, and operation of the machines and tools, including human body, which is one of the most complex machines in the universe. Mechanical Engineering also deals with materials’ manufacturing and their selection for different designs and tools, Mechanical Engineers, hence, learn about the materials, solids and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control, instrumentation, design, and manufacturing to understand the mechanical systems. The Department is the first department across PDEU to get the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the year 2019.  Department is well equipped with state of the art laboratories and four Centres of Excellence (CoE), strong industry connect and professional societies. Its Alumni are well placed in industries as well as are in the foreign universities for higher studies.
