Serampore College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The class room are clean and comfortable. Every year fest is held in our college which is called 'UTSAV'. The fest is generally of two days & it starts with the student's performance. The college provides girl child scholarship & Kanyashree, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship as well. But there is no hostel facility.
I am studying Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. The quality of teaching is just awesome. The teachers are teaching us very carefully. Their notes are too good. They are not only experts in their subject of interests but also know how to guide students in various times of need
Placements given by the College are satisfactory. The alumni of the college have been placed at good places with nice pay packages. The students choose to continue their further studies and then apply for job to increase their chances of selection.
My course cost 12000 per year. yes,I feel I am getting my money's worth because the roads of teaching, the function, and many other events are just fabulous.
The college doesn't have any kind of biasness or gender discrimination as students here study in a 50-50 percentage from both the genders. The students views and requirements are taken care off.The college organises all kinds of events to provide exposure to students in every way possible.
The college provides various activities to preach their knowledge and studies in various parts of the country.
College infrastructure is good and faculties are nice. The college has all the necessary facilities a student needs. Labs are maintained well, Journalism & Mass communication depertment have separate lab as well.
I am studying Communicative English (Major). Only few colleges in West Bengal have this course our college is one of them. Professors are so nice & helpful. You can get all the helps you need from their end. This is a grooming and job oriented subject so it polishes your skills and makes you ready for job.
The college does not provides placement cells itself. One can do post graduation from there or one can choose their respective fields and persue it. However, Communicative English students gets opportunities to do Internships as it is in their course curriculum. But placements can be improved.
Since it is a Government College it provides all the course in a affordable money. Students having Journalism & Mass communication subject is a little expensive but overall whole cost is worth spending.
Serampore college is the second oldest college in India as well as Asia. The main building is famous for its elegant structure. Atmosphere is good and well maintained. It is the only college in West Bengal which have Theology.
Overall it was a good experience to spend three years in this college with so many good memories to cherish over.
The labs are well maintained. The only qualm is that the library could be better maintained, and more up to date, but it has the books needed. The campus is very well maintained, which adds to the good experience.
All the departments are well endowed in terms of teaching staff. They are very helpful, and usually advices us on the individual paths we choose to adopt. The quality of teaching is remarkable, and we can get the sources we need from our professors.
The college has a very good placement rate, and is known to have quite some successful students in terms of placements. All of them are happy to come back and help out in their individual departments.
Infrastructure is good and it has all necessities that a student needs to make college a good experience experience for them with proper clean toilets for both boys and girls and common rooms for them too.
The quality of teaching is great and one doesn't need help from outside to sit for exams. The professors who teach in the college, for any subject, are friendly and very helpful, also most importantly available anytime one needs
Placements are okay-ish. One who pass out from this college, Serampore College, are do get chances in the respective fields they are pursuing without much of a problem. The college grooms you up for it.
The college doesn't charge unnecessary money and even a student who belongs to a poor family can afford to come to this college. It also has a charity funding that helps the studentsif they're in need.
The campus of Serampore College is beautiful and well managed by the authorities. Smoking and other such activities are prohibited and its looked up that no students practice such stuff, and if in case caught at something like this are properly dealt with
This college have good infrastructure and also have good labs. No hostels is there for local students. Hostels are available for North East students. There is very nice playground. These places are so clean and properly oriented. The outlooks of this college is very beautiful.
I am studying chemistry here because faculties are good and the main thing is lab. Lab is good. The quality of teaching is good. But all the department s are not good . physics, chemistry and biology departments are best here. yeah the curriculum is updated. It's doesn't make sure that your job is ready but here you know the basic thing of your interested subject and makes you confident.
It's a college for graduation degree. No placements is there. More number of students are passing with good marks but no placements is there. But placement should be improved. As I told no placements occurred so there is no question of salary.
Cost of study wasn't very high or low. It's average. A normal students can afford it easily.
I told that there is no hostels. So, no campus life. But those students who are not local, are hired a mess.
Well, i really did enjoy my three years there....teachers were no doubt very warm and knowledgeable... talking abt the infrastructure... it did lack good books in library....requires a bit more maintenance...classrooms requires better furniture...the IT section needs a good support thru installing more computers to support each batch of students.
i studied bcom(hons) there......... teachers were very supportive....knowledgeable...very well informed about the recent developments in this field..........yeah.. the curriculum of calcutta university is very much job oriented..i am happy it has made me ready not only for job but also for various professional courses
no placement facilities when i studied...........i have no idea if it is conducting any....but if it isnt i would request the college authorities to arrange for placement facilities as it does help many who want to find a suitable job
some around within Rs 5000 i completed the three year course including admission cost etc...........yeah it was worth studying..........................................................................
i did enjoy.......it was a memorable one....well i was not that a regular goer but i do have lil good moments there ....................................................................................
The infrastructure is an average one with all basic facilities. The canteen is not that great. The classrooms are in a very normal condition. The wifi was average. There were no smartboards. The living spaces were cleans and nature friendly.
The faculty is very good. The professors are well experienced and knowledgeable. I had persued my b.com in accounting and finance from this college. This can be a great department if the infrastructure is updated.
Placements is something that is not good at all. Hardly there are any placements and there was no offer for placement when i was persuing the course. The placement cell needs a huge improvement so that students graduating form here gets into a good job for a secured future.
Since it is a government college, the college offers great education accirding to the cost we put in.
Campus life has been good enough. There are cultural as well as sports activities yearly. There are annual fest too.
Overall it has beean a good experience. I would recommend this college if anyone wants to go for govt colleges because it is the best among them.
Hello aspirant
You have got average percentage . With this percentage admission to B com hons is quite difficult to get good college.
Jindal school of Banking and Finance ,JSBF is the best college for B com hons because they have a focussed curriculum on Bank ng and finance. The
