Serampore college was one of the heritage in West Bengal. All building was built in 18th century. So we had heritage garden, old traditional library and college canteen. A small playground is also in our campus. Many old books are available in this ancient library.

The Basic eligibility criteria of our college admission was 60% of PCM marks and minimum 70% of maths(for B.Sc Mathematics). Mathematics Honours syllabus is quite tough. Dicrit, applied mathematics like arithmetic and algebraic function were in our syllabus. The professors were to knowledgeable and helpful.

Placement was really very moderate after completing Graduation in serampore college. Some of our batchmates about 30-40% got job in small coaching centres after graduation. But Real scenario was quite tough. Remaining students like me completed Post graduation to get a safe job as school teacher or professor.

my college has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. Our college has a library, laboratories, auditorium,canteen and a large sports ground etc. The living space is clean, and the food is hygienic. The college environment is very pleasant.

I completed my B.Com from this college. I chose this college because it is excellent for the B.Com .The teachers here have a great teaching style, and there is a very good relationship between the teachers and students; the teachers help by resolving all the students' problems.Alongside academics, various curriculum activities take place here.

The quality of placements at our college is very good. typically the placement rate is around 85–90%. The average salary is also very good. The placement process is very smooth and hassle-free.Our college's placement cell is excellent,they really help students .

Serampore college was established on 1818. There were large historical classrooms and a massive library in our college. Large open playground, departmental labs and college canteen were also available in our time.

In our time B.A Bengali honours course was a 3 year programme. Our college professors were very knowledgeable and helpful. History of bengali literature, poetry drama, novels , short friction , essay were the cour part of B.A Bengali honours syllabus in our time.

The placement of Serampore college under Calcutta University was moderate. Some of my batchmates secured their job in some private school or private coaching centers. But I completed M.A Bengali from the Calcutta University to get a Government job in any school.
