The Serampore College is equipped with all sorts of infrastructure required for the students including classrooms in departments, a library, a big playground, the CLRC Hall, a canteen, laboratories and hostels for accommodating students. One thing to note here is, the hostels are meant only for students from the Department of Theology.

I have always been fascinated by any form of literature and needless to mention, I knew what i wanted to pursue. My department has the most amazing faculty with highly qualified, friendly and cooperative professors. The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta and thus all the things like the curriculum, exam schedules and so on are looked after by the university itself. Speaking of a bachelor's in English literature, the degree certainly doesn't provide ample opportunities like any technical or skill based course would. The pay might not be up to the mark. But students who are actually passionate about it must go for it in order to challenge the normal.

Pertaining to my degree, placement opportunities are not available in our college. However, many sorts of workshops and (now) internships are being made available to students to provide them with enough exposure.

My degree asks for a yearly expense of not more than Rs. 10,000, which amounts to around Rs. 25,000 in total (3 years but now 4 years under CCF). I would say it's totally worth it because the college holds a solid reputation and provides good academic exposure to students.

Established in the year 1818, the Senate of Serampore is blessed with the most beautiful campus ever. Surrounded by greenery, it provides the students with a very healthy campus life. This is indeed the best thing about it. However, one thing the college might need to work on is the canteen where the food often fails to meet the expectations. The staffs are mostly helpful. The location is actually the best. It takes around 7-8 minutes from the Serampore railway station to reach the college if someone takes the auto or it's a 15 minutes walking distance.

I've had an amazing time in the college. Be it the lush green campus, or the most wonderful seniors and juniors who made the college life a pure bliss, to say the least. I would particularly recall the Annual Academic Exhibition and Utsav (the college fest) held once a year, that brings everyone under one roof and we get to have an experience to treasure good memories for the rest of our lives.

College infrastructure is very good and well maintained. Classrooms are very large. My college has good facilities. there is a big library in my college. Living space is very hygienic. There are all those equipments that is needed to run a college.

Academic is average. I am studying b.com. there are all quality teachers in the college. Curriculum is updated and included all the recent developments in the field. My college can make a student ready for job.

The quality of placements are too average. twenty percent students are yet to be placed. Highest salary packege of our college is 20 lakh per annum. And average salary packege is 600000 per annum. Overall I can say it's very average.

The college is very old and reputed college in this area. College is situated beside ganga river. The environment is very beautiful and aesthetic. My college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments.

I am studying here bachalor in Science with physics honours. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the lecture they provide is very understanding. They are very helpful and student friendly. The quality of teaching is great.

The placement department is not the best. As a government college we could not expect a good placement in a reputed company. The average salary they offered are rupees 13000 per month. The quality of placement is average.

Best environment

My college have very good infrastructure, facilities and equipments , there is a very large field for sports. Classrooms are good for study. hostel rooms also too clean. Toilets are also hygienic and Clean.

I amr studing b.com. all teachers teaching skills are awesome. The teachers can make any student ready for the job. Teachers are helpful. All the teachers have enough knowledge to teach us. Overall I can say one can learn very well from this college education.

The placement rate of this college is average. Maximum LPA is 3000000 but number of good salary is to low . Average LPA is 600000. But college is supporting. And quality of the placement of this college is is low.

Average

It is one of the oldest colleges in India and has a historical importance. All the facilities are available in our college. Many courses are available here. The mess was not in a great condition and the food was edible at its best. Wi-Fi is available but doesn't work at all.

Teachers in our college are qualified and knowledgeable. They are also very helpful and provide notes. The teachers help us a lot in offline and online modes and give us extra classes. The semester exams are not that easy but if you study well you can do great.

There are no good placement opportunities in this college. Campus packages are not offered for BSC, BA and BCom students. The students are given the required skills training and knowledge to get themselves placed n a good job.

The fee structure is the most feasible structure I have ever seen. College provides various internships in government back scholarships. It is a government aided college. Semester fees is around 5150 rupees.

The campus environment is very peaceful and comfortable. College fests are held every year. Location of the colleges is very beautiful.

All facilities are available in the college and many courses are available. The infrastructure is quite good as compared to the fees structure. Sports facilities are also provided and conducted by the college. It has 3-4 hostels and wifi is also available.

As our batch is only of thirty students, teachers are able to give special attention to all of us. They are well qualified and experienced. The college is good for doing Humanities and other courses but not good for doing Science-related courses.

The college placement offers are not good enough. However seventy percent of the students get placement but the highest package offered was 50000 rupees and the lowest was 5000 rupees. The top recruiters were Byjus, Topper.

The course costs me 4690 rupees which is very cheap as compared to the other colleges. A person can do small courses for this college but the college is not for serious students.

Campus life is good . Low attendance attracts fine. Sport facilities are also available. Canteen food is good.

The authority and administration of this college is very good. The college union is also very helpful. We did not face any problem in this college. The campus is very secured. College authority has good control over its pupil

The professors of English department are very helpful and supportive. The guided us rightly. They are very honest regarding evaluation of each and every student. We didn't face any problem there. They always motivated us

This is a general degree college. Placement was not available there. But the teachers help you to prepare yourself for future opportunities. They guided us rightly and motivated us to do something big in our lives.

This is a government aided college. So course fee was very minimal. Opportunity for scholarship was there. We did not need to submit a huge amount. The course fee was very meagre. There was the opportunity for concession also

The campus life was very secure and carefree. The campus has a heritage building of historical importance. The whole campus is covered with green trees. Those three years will remain memorable always.

The teachers helped us throughout three years of our graduation life. We were allowed to take part in different programs and seminars. It was an "A" graded college at that time. It has some collaboration with Danish government too.

Serampore College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The class room are clean and comfortable. Every year fest is held in our college which is called 'UTSAV'. The fest is generally of two days & it starts with the student's performance. The college provides girl child scholarship & Kanyashree, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship as well. But there is no hostel facility.

I am studying Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. The quality of teaching is just awesome. The teachers are teaching us very carefully. Their notes are too good.They are not only experts in their subject of interests but also know how to guide students in various times of need

Placements given by the College are satisfactory.The alumni of the college have been placed at good places with nice pay packages.The students choose to continue their further studies and then apply for job to increase their chances of selection.

My course cost 12000 per year. yes,I feel I am getting my money's worth because the roads of teaching, the function, and many other events are just fabulous.

The college doesn't have any kind of biasness or gender discrimination as students here study in a 50-50 percentage from both the genders.The students views and requirements are taken care off.The college organises all kinds of events to provide exposure to students in every way possible.

The college provides various activities to preach their knowledge and studies in various parts of the country.

College infrastructure is good and faculties are nice. The college has all the necessary facilities a student needs. Labs are maintained well, Journalism & Mass communication depertment have separate lab as well.

I am studying Communicative English (Major). Only few colleges in West Bengal have this course our college is one of them. Professors are so nice & helpful. You can get all the helps you need from their end. This is a grooming and job oriented subject so it polishes your skills and makes you ready for job.

The college does not provides placement cells itself. One can do post graduation from there or one can choose their respective fields and persue it. However, Communicative English students gets opportunities to do Internships as it is in their course curriculum. But placements can be improved.

Since it is a Government College it provides all the course in a affordable money. Students having Journalism & Mass communication subject is a little expensive but overall whole cost is worth spending.

Serampore college is the second oldest college in India as well as Asia. The main building is famous for its elegant structure. Atmosphere is good and well maintained. It is the only college in West Bengal which have Theology.

Overall it was a good experience to spend three years in this college with so many good memories to cherish over.

The labs are well maintained. The only qualm is that the library could be better maintained, and more up to date, but it has the books needed. The campus is very well maintained, which adds to the good experience.

All the departments are well endowed in terms of teaching staff. They are very helpful, and usually advices us on the individual paths we choose to adopt. The quality of teaching is remarkable, and we can get the sources we need from our professors.

The college has a very good placement rate, and is known to have quite some successful students in terms of placements. All of them are happy to come back and help out in their individual departments.
