The college is really small, literally just one single building and even then all the rooms are not available and accessible to students all the times. The non teaching staff are very rude and they don’t even let students sit in the class after the lectures.

So I’m currently doing bachelor of business administration and even though the college has a good reputation but as for the academics the syllabus is old and does not teach practical knowledge which is actually needed in today’s world so the curriculum is of no use.

Since I’m only in my 1st years but the college as good placement rate for BCom mostly not that much for the courses, but for BCom I would say it’s a good option as students have been placed in reputated companies like KPMG, EY.

I think it’s fine, it’s not too expensive like St Xaviers and besc and gives nice placement

This college is a really good option for b.com students and for other courses I can’t speak but for my course ( BBA) I’ll say it’s not that much worth it since the curriculum is old and doesn’t give practical knowledge and exposure.

Placements are given after teaching them in workshops. They bring in Chartered accountants and lot of former students who are now successful and make them share their journey in order to motivate students

My college have necessary infrastructure,fully air conditioned classrooms with projectors, well maintained laboratories including computer labs and media labs, libraries has good academic books and study materials. The college has a big play ground for sports activities and all these are used by the students of the college everyday

I'm studying journalism and mass communication for building a good career in journalism and media . The teachers of the college is supportive and their method of teaching is great which helps students to score high marks . The curriculum is upto date and can update more . What makes u job ready is the main practical knowledge and skills u learn and experience and I think learning more over practical and real life experience can make me job- ready

Nice . Many students were placed in many big companies I don't know the exact percentage and highest salary package . The placement process was easy and pleasant for me and my college placement cell and teachers were very supportive

The college campus is good but not better than more universities college campus helds annual events,sports day and have cultural societes clubs like dance, singing and theatre clubs .the students, teachers and support staff is very cooperative and highly supportive. The college is located in lord sinha road which is a highly crowded area and is safe for the students

Shri shikshayatn college is one of the prestigious college in Kolkata. It provides with an array for specialisations. I have done my graduation in B.com hns in the year 2015. The faculty as well as the management helps you has the best time during your entire ciriculam

I have done my bachelors in accounting and finance from the college. Post which I took great interest in finance and then enrolled myself for PGDM later on in the same field of study. Studying in SSY was life changing

The placements were not very promt during the bachelors but they make you market ready so that you can ace jobs post the degree. Not only it opens doors for the jobs but also makes you ready for your further higher studies.

Being a private institution, the fees in on the higher side

Campus experience was great. Along with such knowledgeable teachers we get to enjoy the extra curriculars as well that has shaped us for the bette r future

College has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. All classrooms are fully air conditioned.We also have a clean purely veg canteen,there are proper laboratories and proper wifi.

I am a student of Economics and the faculty was really good .If you are looking for a college with strong and experienced professors Shri Shikshayatan college,Kolkata is the best option. The college is affiliated to Calcutta university.

Placement is not applicable for all.It comes if you're are good enough in your academics and if you are skilled enough to get a Placement just after completing your graduation. I am an alumni of Shri Shikshayatan college, Kolkata but honestly my Placement desires were not fully satisfied.

My degree is Journalism and Mass Communication Honours at Shri Shikshayatan College, Kolkata and I am very much satisfied with every facility we are provided with. Starting from tech labs to classrooms, everything is maintained properly.

I think Shri shikshayatan college is the best in providing placements for commerce students as well known companies to provide the students with job opportunities. Other departments also get placements but the rate is highest for commerce students .

I am first year student and I really like the college environment. Its clean,safe and the canteen food is also hygienic. Students get to enjoy alot in the fests.The location of this college acts as a cherry on top.

The classrooms are large, bright, and clean and the college is safe and well-disciplined. Wi-Fi is provided at the library zone which is very helpful during project works. The college also provides computer labs for practical sessions and the college environment is peaceful and study-friendly.

The placement cell organizes a few drives, but they mostly target mainstream jobs, often unrelated to journalism. I managed to find internships largely through personal networks outside college. Though staff are willing to help, tailored career advice is missing. I hope the college ramps up industry connections to boost our future prospects.

Looking at fees and facilities, I weigh the cost of studying here and feel it is neither exceptionally good nor bad. I pay a fair amount, yet sometimes feel resources lag behind expectations. That said, the core teaching quality justifies my investment to an extent. Scholarships and fee waivers are scarce, which can be hard for some students. Overall, I see it as average in terms of getting my money’s worth.
