Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Literature Part Time is a full-time four years course offered by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree of Bharathiar University in the concerned or related discipline with 55% marks or above or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to by the Syndicate.
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% for employed persons with a minimum of two years of service after obtaining the Master’s Degree and No Objection Certificate from the employer shall be produced.

Admission Details

For Ph.D. admission process, fifty percent weightage is given to the academic score in the respective PG programme, fifteen percent to a personal interview and thirty-five percent weightage to the score obtained in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the affiliating University.
