St Joseph's College for Women, Alappuzha Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College provides hostel accommodation to the students living on the campus premises. The hostel is called Canossa Hostel and has 150 beds. The amenities at the hostel include food, safe drinking water, 24X7 water supply, and a safe environment.

The College has a well-furnished and spacious Canteen functioning on the campus to cater to the needs of the students. The cafeteria is called “Chikku Tree” and provides a hygienic environment and a variety of food options.

The College has computer labs with the latest computers and software. 

The College has a department-based laboratory facility for the students. Students can do their research work in the laboratories. Some of the laboratories at St Joseph's College for Women, Alappuzha include Zoology Lab, Physiology Lab, Ecology Lab, Biotechnology Lab, and Chemistry Labs.

The College has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The auditorium is equipped with audiovisual equipment. The auditorium can accommodate 1000 people at a time.

The College has a sports centre where the students can buy/borrow sports equipment to play their favourite sports in the St Joseph's College for Women, Alappuzha playground. St Joseph's College for Women, Alappuzha has basketball, badminton, and table tennis courts. 

The College has a health centre with a first aid facility for the students. The medical centre has a nurse to help the students with the medicines and first aid.

The College has a gym facility for the students so that they can keep themselves fit by working out. The gym has all the basic gym equipment and a trainer.

The College has a guest room for the accommodation of parents and visiting faculty.

The College has a library that acts as a strong pillar supporting and catering to the wide and challenging requirements of the students and teaching community. A library is computerised using full-featured open-source ILS KOHA and is well equipped with around 46000 books and 75 periodicals spread over almost all disciplines. The library also has a network centre for internet search and digital library access, equipped with computers with an internet facility of bandwidth of 10 Mbps provided as part of NMEICT.
