Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi Admission
Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes to the students. Admission to UG course is offered on the basis of Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the Banaras Hindu University. Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi PG admission is based on the rank secured in Banaras Hindu University Post Graduate Entrance Test (BHU PET). Admission to the doctoral programme is based on RET conducted by Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi detailed admission process is given below:
Undergraduate Course
- Aspiring candidates have to apply online on the website of Banaras Hindu University.
- Applicants have to appear for Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the Banaras Hindu University in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode which is conducted across 200 cities.
- A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the rank obtained in BHU UET and a category wise cut off list will be released that and every candidate has to meet the cutoff requirement in order to be eligible for the further admission process.
- Candidates who secure a rank in the merit list and meet the cutoff requirement are shortlisted and they are sent a call letter for BHU UET counselling. Candidates have to submit Preference Entry Form for seat allotment and they have to choose Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi as their preference for the seat allotment.
- Further, candidates need to get their documents verified and pay the requisite fee.
Postgraduate Course
Aspirants have to apply an appear for Banaras Hindu University Post Graduate Entrance Test (BHU PET).
Candidates have to meet the BHU PET cutoff requirement that states the minimum rank to be scoured by the aspirants in order to qualify for BHU PET.
Candidates eligible for counselling have to participate in it and they have to choose Vasanta College For Women, Varanasi as their preference for the choice filling during their counselling process.
Aspiring candidates have to get all the documents verified and pay the course fee once the seat has bee allotted to them.
Final admission will be based on marks secured in Banaras Hindu University Post Graduate Entrance Test (BHU PET), participation in the counselling process, document verification and fee payment.
Doctoral Programme
- Candidates desirous to take admission to the doctoral programme have to apply and appear for RET conducted by Banaras Hindu University.
- Candidates who have qualified NET (JRF), NET (LS) and GATE are exempted from the written test.
- There are three stages of the PhD admission procedure
- Test A: To assess Logical and Analytical Capability
- Test B: To assess Subject Knowledge Test
- Test C: Research proposal and Personal Interview to test aptitude for research
- Aspirants have to qualify in all the tests and participate in the counselling process for choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
- Final admission will be based on RET, participation in the counselling process, document verification and fee payment.

Academics
The teachers are good in understanding and explaining every semester the English departments have a mentorship program and the students are free to choose their mentor the wish to be a part of. The aihc department give an opportunity to the students to have a look on history and make them visit historical locations for better knowledge and information
College Infra
The college has a good infrastructure with quit number of classrooms huge library a gym a canteen a badminton court and assembly hall a conference Hall and an auditorium the college has a best view of Ganga Ghat in the campus itself
Campus Life
Campus life is cool for a student enjoy there college life and have study accordingly it is a safe place for animals and birds and it is a home to nature since are campus is filled with trees and plants
Placements
Since I am a student of UG 1st year I really don't know about the placements the college provides but it seems to be that it is good enough for job as told me by the seniors of MA. Colleges supportive in the name of packages
Value For Money
It is value for money since it is not too much expensive and a student can easily persua their career in this college. The amount is based on selection level and according to it it provides a huge number of facilities

Academics
So currently I am pursuing BCom honours and the quality of teaching like the professors that teachers was so good in there field like they know what to teach and they are very friendly nature and even the student get very good marks and a good CGPA even if in the college there is also so many events and curriculum happens and student can happily apply too whatever events they want to participate.NAnf even the teaching quality the time , the teachers everything is just so perfect.And I think I can get a good job in future along with a good salary.
College Infra
My college has a very good in first structure if I talk about the buildings the water tanks the classrooms the launch like everything is very cleaned and tidy and in the library also there is a good condition of air and in the hostels there is good Wi-Fi also present along with the good mess food also and the people is also very good there the foods are also hygiene and good in taste and where will live also the place was also very clean and tidy the kitchen where the food was also baked was also very clean and good in taste.
Campus Life
Campus life is also good are campus is so much good even if it's affiliated to the government college but the environment the campus is just so much good we will get a good environment there even we have a good view there. There is ganga Mata which is really soothing and relaxing after a hectic sessions we will relax our mind their with good wind the view along with the sound of birds and the leaves.
Placements
And if I talk about the placement there is a very good placement in our college and even our seniors get a good package in a good and existing company and I guess about 40% of the students gets placement with a good salary and working condition and ig I talk about the highest package which is i guess 30,000 is the highest package offered buy our college and the average salary is about 10,000 to 15,000yes the placement process was also good but kinda time consuming but yes it gives greatest and worth it results in the end.
Value For Money
So I am currently pursuing BCom honours and the cost is very much good in comparing to other colleges which are giving the same College degree I give to 22200 per year which is really good and at the end I will get a government bachelor degree certificate which is so much good and I think it is really worth it my money my time everything is just worth it even my college is very good and I can say that

I am currently pursuing an MA in Geography. My area of interest focuses on socio-economic and gender-related studies, particularly the impact of women’s self-help groups and tribal movements. I chose this field because Geography helps in understanding the relationship between society, economy, culture, and space at the grassroots level, which is important for addressing rural development and social issues.
College Infra
My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required for smooth functioning of college. The classroom has proper lights, ventilation, blackboard and smart board required for teaching process. Smart boards are occasionally used when required. Living spaces are clean and hygienic.
Campus Life
My college experience has been academically enriching and personally developing. The campus provides a supportive learning environment with regular classes, seminars, and discussions that help in better understanding of Geography and related subjects. Campus life is fairly balanced, with opportunities to interact with peers, participate in academic activities, and develop communication and analytical skills. Overall, it has helped me grow both academically and socially.
Placements

Value For Money
Since my college is government college so cost effective from the other private colleges of Ma. For MA Geography in many government universities, the annual fee is generally affordable and mainly includes tuition fees, examination fees, and other academic character.
