They have both science and Arts department but Arts department is more developed. If one wants to pursue English honours, she can definitely take the guidance of this college cause faculties are experienced and cooperative.
Women's college has a component which many ladies colleges lack in Kolkata: warm and inclusive atmosphere. The professors are not only competent in their field but warm and helpful too. They often guide the students as mentors and sit for one-on-one sessions quite often.
As academic purposes the college is very good. All the teachers in my department was very encouraging and helpful. Their behaviour was very good for students. There was lots of curriculum activities like Nutrition week, different types of seminar etc. knowledge about education was very good. From this side my experience was really amazing.
