IIM Ahmedabad has revised its admission criteria for the 2027–29 PGP batch. The revised policy changes the way CAT 2026 performance is considered during PI shortlisting and changes the weightage used for final selection. Candidates should check the IIM Ahmedabad CAT 2026 qualifying cutoff, Application Rating (AR) score, PI shortlisting criteria and final admission weightage before applying.
The minimum qualifying CAT 2026 cutoff for IIM Ahmedabad is 95 percentile for General/EWS candidates, subject to the applicable sectional cutoffs and other eligibility criteria. However, meeting the minimum cutoff does not guarantee an IIM Ahmedabad PI call or admission. For SC/ST candidates, the IIM Ahmedabad Cutoff 2027 is 85 and 75, respectively. In addition to this, IIM Ahmedabad Admission criteria include IIM Ahmedabad PI shortlisting based on 65% weightage to CAT 2026 percentile and 35% weightage to application rating score. The Final IIM Ahmedabad 2027 admission will be based on personal interview (50%), AWT (10%), and composite score (40%). This year, IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2027 criteria have changed. While the IIM Ahmedabad CAT 2026 Cutoff remained the same as last year, there have been changes in the IIM Ahmedabad 2027 admission weightage this year. For the PI shortlisting, IIM Ahmedabad will consider the CAT percentile instead of the overall normalised CAT Score. Moreover, for the final IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2027, IIM A will give 40% weightage to the normalised composite score instead of 25% weightage for CAT and 15% weightage to application ratio score.

IIM Ahmedabad Selection 2027: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to complete the IIM Ahmedabad eligibility criteria before applying for the IIM Ahmedabad admission 2027 through the CAT exam. Candidates are advised to look at the IIM Ahmedabad 2027 eligibility criteria in the points mentioned below.
Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD).
The undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification must have a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
Final year students or students awaiting results are also eligible for IIM Ahmedabad admission 2027. However, students are required to produce a certificate duly signed by the Principal/Head of the Department certifying that the candidate has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case the candidate comes from SC/ST/PwD category).

Note: IIM Ahmedabad awards 3 points to candidates other than male candidates as part of the gender diversity program. This will add 3 points to the final composite score of all candidates except male candidates.
