As you know that NIT Jaipur is better than IIIT Kancheepuram but the branch you get in nit Jaipur is not so good so according to my view and placement statics you can go for iiit Kancheepuram with mechanical branch.

Naveenv495 , For ECE IIIT Jabalpur is better because it is good in terms of placement, academics and all and fees is also approx. same for both colleges but in terms of infrastructure IIIT kancheepuram is better.

Naveenv495 , From some research on internet about both colleges you mention with there respective branches I found that nit trichy with instrumentation and control engineering  is better option in all aspects like placement, infrastructure and all but only fees is quite more.

There is no any specific mode of admission for girls in IIITs. All students have to take JEE main exam and score decent marks to get admitted accordingly into various Institutes.

IIIT kancheepuram also has same eligibility criteria
