See no confirmation can be given for admission in any college despite the fact you score any percentile. But for sure you clear their criteria for minimum eligibility to qualify for interviews.

Hello Dear

Your academic score is faar better across all the platform like 10th , 12th, and your respective Graduation degree as well and inorder to get into the top IIMs it will depend upon your respective CAT percentile because for entering into that your percentile should be more than 98+ such that based upon the category wise cuttoff you can be able to enter across the various IIMs.

My 10th%= 83 12th= 80 Engineering= 82% I am from SC category, how much should I score in cat to get call from iimA/B/C

Dear student,
Your overall performance in 10th , 12th std and graduation is good . In Cat examination, you have to get above 90 percentile or even above 95 percentile to get a call from IIM A/B AND C . Iim calcutta cut off for 2018 Sc category was above 90 percentile so on a safer side you have to get more marks as may be the expected cut off for this year may be more or may be less . So the cut offs usually varies.

Hi Rajat,

According to the IIM admission criteria 2019-21, candidates appearing for CAT 2018 must have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50 per cent marks (for General category) and 45 Percent (for SC, ST and PWD category) or equivalent CGPA from any recognised university. But that isn't it what all information you have provided above won't be enough to get into a B-School. You need to clear the cutoffs of the CAT exam that forms the basis of admission in the institution.

You've to crack Common Admission Test ( CAT ), by almost 100%ile for IIM-A

To get into IIM Ahmedabad's MBA Program, you are required to score between 98-100 percentile in the CAT examination. Even if your CAT score is 99, it can not be guranteed that you will be admitted. Your school marks are decent and should be beneficial in the admission process. Make sure your college grades are also great and your extra curricular activities are good enough. After this, all you have to do is ace the interview and GD.

Should one try for join IPM or later try for CAT ?How easy it is to clear CAT and get admission in IIM A,B,C,L?

IPM is definitely is a good course if you want to pursue it. And it's definitely not very easy to get a percentile above 98. The colleges you have mentioned need a minimum percentile of 98 in CAT. But if you prepare well and your orientation is correct then you can definitely get a good college. And try to get some test series because that really helps.

As per your engineering background in mechanical field you should opt for Operations as many of the engineers go for Operation field or Marketing.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is best in class and IIM Ahmedabad is high speed Wi-Fi, classrooms, and library . The quality of the facility in the college very good. Infrastructure which includes a stadium, playgrounds, sitting area, canteen, hostel, etc. All types of facilities are provided to the students.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is well maintained making it an inclusive campus. We have one of the best accommodations with ACs in hostels. The mess food is very hygienic and other food outlets are great too for meals.

My experiences up to this date are Great!
