IISc is the best college for science students in India, even better than the IITs. I mean just check the college ratings on international standards, The UG program has started quite recently, and the faculty is just amazing in what they work on and their general attitude towards students. Moreover, if you are here, you will definitely have a scholarship and thus affordability is not even a thing to think about. IISc is a launch pad to the international academia society and you will not feel short of opportunities. In addition is the amazing college life. It is situated in northern Bangalore and thus you have access to all facilities, and the rules are flexible enough so that you may enjoy you freedom. The annual cultural and science fest, Pravega, is listed in one of the best fests in the nation and is quite an experience.

IISc is the best place to study science. If you think you want to pursue science in some way or the other in your future then you have to come to this place. The labs and courses offered here are undoubtedly the best in India. It is also the highest ranked institute of India according to most of the world rankings. Apart from this the IISc tag has its own value which I am just beginning to understand. The college crowd is competitive in studies and you will enjoy your life here if you are up for challenges.

A review by undergrad: One of the best Colleges of the World Ranks 99 followed by IIT ' s. The institute has some of the best Faculties of India and World. It had India's best Supercomputer till 2015. In UG Course some of the best experiments are Nobel Prize winning experiments like the measuring the charge of electron by Mullikan. One of my favorite include seeing the helical path of electron in crossed Electric Field and Magnetic Field. Prof. Rohini Godbole from IISc is leading India's participation in making International Linear Collider whichi will be more power full than LHC at CERN. Student crowd in IISc is supported by Student Council which is a power full body in IISc and sits in all important meating of departments, decide Food menu and address major concern of UG including Sports, Security, Language Problem,Minority concerns, etc The college fee is meager with respect to other colleges at Rs 15,000 for one year for UG course. Hostel and mess are very clean and have round the clock Water supply with option of Hot water . Room Rent = 150/month +600/month for water and electricity. Mess Bill= 4000-4500/month depending on Veg or Non-Veg + 600 for water and electricity. You get to choose your mess at the time of admission which include North Indian veg, North Indian Non-Veg, South Indian Veg, South Indian Non-Veg
