In ansera to question, I would say that Computer Science Engineering at JKTUKwill be a better option, if compared to any branch at Calicut University. Because CSE has a great scope in future. Also JNTUK is a very good technical university to pursue engineering.

But before you finalize your decision, I would suggest you to identify you siills and interest. I believe that of you make your career based upon your interest you will succeed surly. 

Becasue "what is better" will not help you. "What is best for you" will take you to success.

So I would say work upon you interest and choose wisely.

   You can a seat in both the universities, in JNTU you can almost all the best and popular branches whereas in AU it is a bit difficult and if you belong to a caste of SC or ST then you can get a good course in AU. Definitely you'll get a seat don't worry.

Since you applied through BC-E category, you will get a lot more advantages than other candidates. Considering past year records, you will be able to get Computer Science in JNTUK with your rank. As mechanical branch of JNTUK is considered better than other branches, it will be difficult for you to get in mechanical branch with this rank.

One more thing I want to suggest, take admission in a branch which suits your interest, not in a branch which promises huge pay packages and high placement. If you choose according to your interest and do hard work, then you will be successful no matter what your stream or college is.

Let me saying ..here jntu offering cse Ece civil it mech eee.....jntu offering 5 Year Integrated Dual Degree Program (I.D.P) to the foreign students in various disciplines. Go through the list of specializations and chose your choice of interest. The eligibilityrequired for the admission into 5 Year Integrated Dual Degree Program (I.D.P) is 10+2 or an equivalent examination....!!
