It is very difficult to predict the actual cutoff of different colleges as it changes every year based on different factors like how many candidates appeared on your session ,how tough the paper was along with how many seats are available in different universities and performance of candidates appeared . Based on previous few years trends and cutoff you definitely have a chance in
Andhra University college of engineering: information technology and in naval architecture and marine engineering
Jawaharlal nehru technological university college of engineering, kakinda: chemical engineering and petrochemical engineering.

JNTUK university college of engineering, vizianagaram

Hello,
It is difficult to predict whether your son gets B.E/ B.Tech Computer Science Engineering branch in Andhra University, Vishakapatnam or Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada Campus because cut-offs varies from year to year. But based on previous year's cut-offs it can be said that it is difficult for your son to get B.E/ B.Tech Computer Science Engineering branch in Andhra University, Vishakapatnam and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada as the Category is General Category. Cutoffs varies from year to year and it is difficult to predict it. Cutoffs depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam, etc.

Hi
Your profile suggests that its about AP EAMCET
It is difficult to predict because cut off / closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon several factors like
******** number of aspirants which appeared in AP EAMCET
******** Toughness or difficulty level of Ap EAMCET examination
******** number of seats available for different branches
******** number of students from different categories i. e general/obc/sc/st etc
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then as per 2019 cut off available at
https://cache.careers360.mobi/media/uploads/froala_editor/files/2019-cutoff.pdf
With 15k rank, considering your category as oc
You have low chance in JNTUK COLLEGE OF ENGG. KAKINADA
For example,
In 2019, 11823 rank was closing rank in JNTUK COLLEGE OF ENGG. KAKINADA for oc boy and it was for PET.
You have chance in colleges like:-
NTUK COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING NARSARAOPETA:-EEE:-19854

I think you need to score better for this. Your rank must be below 2000 to get computer science engineering in Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam and JNTU. Not computer science, but you can get seat in other branches of these colleges.
You can take admission in these colleges depending on your rank.
Hi
It is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff of different colleges as it changes every year based on different factors like how many candidates appeared, how tough the paper was along with how many seats are available in different universities and performance of candidates. Based on previous few years cutoff your chances of getting CSE in Andra university and JNTUCEK is a little difficult
Cse cutoff of AU is 6490 so you have slim chance and of JNTUCEK is 1061. But colleges where you may get CSE are:
NRI institute of Technology
Gayatri vidya parishad college for degree and PG courses, school of engineering
Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha engineering college
Maharaj vijayaram gajapathi raj college of engineering
Narayana engineering college

When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
Now if you consider all this above parameters then you will find that NIT Andhrapradesh is better than JNTUK. The curriculum of NIT AP is more industry oriented and the curriculum provides sufficient information to the students in order to be eligible for placements. Also the faculties in NIT's are more research oriented which is obviously a point of concern as this impose the scientific admiration among the student more prominently. The placements are better than JNTUK and compared to that in lower branches the median package is quite good. Both the colleges have good infrastructure but the dynamics in the subject combination is quite noticing. So as per this parameters and concern, I would recommend you to go for NIT AP over JNTUK.
