Number of subjects in each semester differs from stream to stream. So as you haven't mentioned the stream for which you are asking the question, I am answering on the basis of JNTU KAKINADA Civil Engineering course structure.
We all know in most of the institutions you have the same course structure for all stre 2nd
ams for the 1st year and then it becomes subject specific from the second year.
Now I am giving you Number of subjects and the credits distributions.
1st Year: SEM-I=> No. of subjects : 9 & Total Credits: 24
SEM-II => No. of subjects : 10 & Total Credits: 24
2nd year: SEM-I=> No. of subjects : 8(+1 non credit course) & Total Credits: 24
SEM-II => No. of subjects : 8(+1 non credit course) & Total Credits: 22
3rd Year: SEM-I=> No. of subjects : 8 & Total Credits: 22
SEM-II => No. of subjects : 8(you have to choose 1 open elective) & Total Credits: 22
4th Year: SEM-I=> No. of subjects : 9(1 non credit & 2 open electives) & Total Credits: 22
SEM-II => No. of subjects : 6(4 theoretical & remaining 2 are Internship project and project) & Total Credits: 24
I hope this answer helps you. Wish you a prosperous career ahead!

Hello student,
According to me JNUT kakinanda is better than Pondicherry engineering college. JNTU is quite old college which was established in 1946 and it offers more than 1000 courses in several stream. The chances of getting placement is also better than Pondicherry engineering college, which offers only 21 courses. However these are my personal opinion.
Hope it helps
The facilities at our college are better when compared to other colleges. The infrastructure is so good, there is more space for labs and there will be internet connectivity anywhere in the college. The hostels facilities are good for boys and girls and there will be internet connectivity in both hostels.
Infrastructure of the college is really good and they provide us the sufficient facilities as per the requirement and I really having too good campus as this really attracts you with infrastructure and equipment's being available in labs , library and sport facilities too.
Good and spacious classrooms and an excellent library are available. There is a very slow Wi-Fi. Good R&D labs are available. The food is not up to the mark in the canteen. There are good hostel rooms with good maintenance. Sports would be encouraged well. This is the best university with most facilities. Poor medical facilities are available at the campus.
