Hey,

Without officially released cut-off marks by the concerned authority of JoSSA we can't make any accurate comment regarding the precise cut-off marks of this kind of eminent instituion like NIT Goa.

Still after minutely analysing the previous year's details, I'm very afraid to inform you that despite being female reserved (OBC) category canditate with this marks it's just impossible for you to get admission in your desirable instituion, NIT Goa through both AIQ and State quota, because according to 2019's informations the last qualifying rank was almost 30-35k for Female OBC canditates in AIQ and in case of Home State quota this statistics were increased to almost 90-95k where your rank is far behind from these. So it's better to leave the hope for NIT Goa.

If you want, you may check the following website:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-goa

https://www.careers360.com/university/national-institute-of-technology-goa

Okk don't need to be disappointed. Your rank is perfectly suitable for many Private and some Government colleges in your state. Hope that you've applied for State Level Counselling which has already started.

You can also use our JEE MAIN College predictor tool in this regard: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope these informations must be quite helpful for you. Wish you all the best.

According to NIRF Rankings, Veeramata Jijabai Technological Institute stands first with the rank of 71, IIIT Jabalpur stands second with the rank of 80 and NIT Goa stands third with the rank of 188. Hence choosing VJTI is preferable as it stands first in rankings.

Dear aspirant,

I would recommend nit goa ece over nit Andhra pradesh . Although both the nits are new but nit goa has better outreach and opportunities in terms of placements and internships.

Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, cognizant, microsoft, de Shaw comes for placements in nit goa . The average package stays around 8L per annum and the cse average package is around 13-14L per annum.

The faculty is also good in Goa. Professors are supportive and they are available to the students whenever they need them. The hostel is good and mess is average.

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is Telangana

It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-

******number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

****** number of available seats,

****** performance of different students in the examination,

****** the category you belong etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>> With  36000 ews rank

You have low chance in NIT Goa for any branch

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,

----------) Under other state, 5852 ews rank for gender neutral was cut off / closing rank  for NIT goa and it was for civil engineering.

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But yes,

You have chances in  some of the government engineering colleges in state counsellings which are listed below along with the link for their previous year cut off  :--

-------) IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar:- https://www.careers360.com/university/ik-gujral-punjab-technical-university-jalandhar/cut-off

-------) Dr APJ Abdul Kalam UIT Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Jhabua :- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/dr-apj-abdul-kalam-uit-rajiv-gandhi-proudyogiki-vishwavidyalaya-jhabua/cut-off

-------) Jiwaji University, Gwalior:- https://www.careers360.com/university/jiwaji-university-gwalior/cut-off

And more

This prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Dear Student,

NIT Andhra Pradesh is established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015 – 2016, whereas NIT Goa has started it's first batch in 2010-11 and has therefore established itself quite firmly over the years. And, placement wise and academic wise both are almost equal.

Also, an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor too. So, choose your area of interest.

Moreover, NIT Goa is much more preferable than NIT Andhra Pradesh. Rest is your call. Choose wisely.

Hope it helped.

All the Best!!

  • Overall ranking

  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)

The preference order you should consider is:

  1. NIT Goa

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your $ years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!
