  1. The best thing is 24 hours high speed internet via LAN

Hope this helps

Hi there,.

Firstly there is no nit in pune there is nit in nagpur (Maharstatra) . Then if you have to now choose between these three then VNIT nagpur is the best of them for cse branch.

To get a seat into it under general category try to score something above 99+ percentile.

Dear,

The authorities release two types of JEE Main 2021 cut-off qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff. NTA has released the qualifying cutoff of JEE Main 2021 along with the result. JEE Main 2021 qualifying cutoff refers to the cutoff score required by the candidates to be eligible for attempting JEE Advanced 2021. JEE Main 2021 admission cutoff is the minimum marks required by the candidates to be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs, CFITs and other participating institutes.  You can find JEE Main cutoffs for year 2021-on this link- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Hope this helps!

Hello Raj. I hope you are doing well. You have a query regarding admission at NIT Goa. For admission at NIT, Goa there are three categories of seats - All India category; Outside Home State category and Home State category . You mentioned you belong to Goa but study in Maharashtra.

Well, if you have a domicile certificate stating that your home state is Goa then you can freely take the advantage of being Home State candidate. But if your domicile certificate states your home state is other than Goa, then you won't take the advantage of Home State category of admission.

If you want to study the cutoff trend in NIT, Goa based on previous years' data, consider visiting this page:

Hello,

If you are a General category, Other state student then 76198 should not be enough to get you a seat in any branch of NIT Goa. It would be good if you should prepare well and appear for the exam in the next year or you can try for state government colleges.

Thank you

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 409200 - 460000 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing ST rank for NIT Goa was :-

  • Civil Engineering branch - 23479 (Home state quota)
  • Civil Engineering branch - 1791(Other state quota)

And your ST rank is expected to be around 20,000

So you have very less chances to get NIT Goa with any of the branches even if you have Home state quota.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you getting N.I.T GOA with 88 percentile and in general category is very difficult as your rank will be around 122760 - 138000 and with this rank you can't get N.I.T GOA.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.

All the best!

Maybe you could take up CSE at some of the Newer IIITs, like Vadodara, Guwahati, Pune, Surat and many others or maybe lower branches like Mechanical, Chemical, Metallugical in some of the Tier 2 NITs lile Jalandhar, Jamshedpur, Surat, Patna, MANIT, NIT Raipur, Durgapur, Kurukshetra and many others if possible at your Rank. These options will be better than either going to NIT Goa or SRMIST, considering the NIT Tag, Good Infrastructure, Faculty and Placements.

To compare between NIT Goa and SRM do follow he link below

https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges

See this is a very hard comparison. Both of this universities are infrastructurally very good, they have wide curriculum, they have good placements and faculties. So its like comparing your right hand is better or your left hand. I know this confusion arises as IIT Goa is a new IIT and people think real IIT's are the old ones. But let me assure you, you will not have any less facilities in a new IIT also. Except its records there are nothing less about it. Now as you to be a professor at IIT, one need to be a post doc and they need to be very good at there respective fields. So the teachers will be great, the curriculum will be great. The placements will also be good as you see they are IIT's and companies will visit them no matter what. So don't worry about it, if you get a chance at IIT GOA just go for it.

Now SRM is also a good institution but if you get chance in any of IIT GOA or NIT GOA then going to SRM avoiding this two institutions will be just like childish as well as illogical. IIT GOA have everything as SRM but SRM didn't have all the things that IIT GOA have.

The most efficient prioritization are:

  1. IIT GOA
  2. NIT GOA
  3. SRM KATTANKULATHUR

To know more about IIT GOA visit the link below:

To know more about NIT GOA visit the link below:

To know more about SRM KATTANKULATHUR visit the link below:

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
