Improper management and coordination. No official posting of information, unhealthy working hours. No sufficient information on internships, training and placements. Unhygienic conditions of drinking water and overhead tank systems, dishes available in the mess are deliberately not good. Some faculty really do not know the subject, maximum of teachers do not know to teach and understand students despite knowing the subject, some deliberately play with student life.

The ultimate college experience

Well, initially NITK seemed to me as a place of utter boredom where the only thing people do is study. But coming to this college absolutely changed my perspective on things, the size of the college amazed me. Despite the hostel being somewhat average, with new friends and a bit of readjustment it quickly became a new home. The infrastructure is ok but is put to good use in the college. The number of events held in college is overwhelming and has exposed me to a lot of new events and experiences. The faculty is caring and most are simply brilliant. Overall I really liked the college life here at NITK.

The campus is pretty good. With a private beach and bifurcated east and west campus on either side of NH 17, green woods and all those peacocks, it's a treat for four years of fun. Just 20 km from mangalore, it is campus with a life style of your choice. Academically, very few NITs can compete with it. Placements are awesome. I am proud of my Alma mater.

i would definitely say it is one of the best college in India ....college life was too good and opportunities are enormous but it is not that easy to get good grades compared to other nits but it is manageable in terms of getting pass marks :P:P.....The crowd with whom you will be spending your four years will be awesome and the college environment was also good......
