Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering is a four-year (8 Semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered at National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal.

The Department offers one undergraduate, five post-graduate and also research programmes leading to bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. The Department has well-experienced faculty, skilled technical staff, and well-equipped laboratories. It is a recognized QIP center for training of faculty from other engineering colleges and polytechnics. The Department has been always in the forefront in taking up R&D initiatives and Industrial Consultancy assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Technical Vocational subject.

Admission Details

Admission to all courses will be made in the odd semester of each session at the first year level based on the relative performance in the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE-Main) and qualifying examination as per the guidelines issued by the MHRD, New Delhi from time to time. The selection is based on entrance exam

College Infrastructure

As the campus is around a total area of 300+ acres, there are a lot of buildings and nature co-existing. the infrastructure in the departments are very good as our college has lots of latest technology in it's hold. except for the building that were built in the old times like few of the boys hostel and the civil department, all the other buildings and facilities are great. currently renovation of the older buildings are going on. other than that the facilities and comfort we get there is great

It's pretty good college.the equipment and facilities are very ossm,I can say that it is one of the best colleges in our sate with good equipment.the huge laboratories,libraries,canteens are the main and important spots for our enjoyment.

Bathrooms need to be maintained much more neat and tide.basically for first yeas there are three messes in which two are veg and one is for non veg,but the no of non vegetarian is more so they need to think about it.
