infrastructural facilities are average. while some of the hostels are very good (superb) and some of them are nearly 20-30 years old. in first year you will get old hostels and after that you will be shifted to new hostels. industrial exposure is just average . for civil engineers survey camp is organised by the institution. the placement from the campus are good, if you are a CS IT student then you will easily get a package of 10-15 lpa. for other branches the avg package is 5-6 lpa. In hostels lan/wifi facilities is provided to the students. the downloading speed is 200-600 kbps. mess food is not also that bad. monthly mess bill is around 3000-3500 rs. some of the professors are very good and some of them are not so good. majorly professors of core subjects are very good and knowledgable. college crowd is very energetic during the star night, dj night the night is worth living.NIT kurukshetra is affordable in all aspects. the semester fee is also on income basis. the tutorial classes should be eleminated from the time table, they should be replaced by lab classes or computer application classes. in my point of view the teaching should go online it will save so much time of students and will enable them to study whenever they want to study . it might be a crucial step in education industry. college life is very enjoyable especially hostel life . in hostel life you will get to know every aspect of life. it will be a very good help in the future. soft skills of the NIT kurukshetra students are not so good, so i would like to request the college authority to work in this aspect. the infrastructure facilities are worth telling . we have CCN with 100-150 (i5 processors from 2013-14) computers. there is a indoor auditorium named jublee hall. we have open air theatre(OAT). our academic building is specially designed . in hostels you can get food at any time, even at 3'o clock in the morning from the nearby dabhhas. the is no kind of ragging or bullying activities done to the freshers. the sports facilites provided by the institution are also up to the mark . the is court/ place for each kind of sport known to me. in hostels also we are provided with volleyball, badminton courts, table tennis etc.

NIT Kurukshetra is the place to be if you aspire a full fledged personal development program, and not just an engineering degree. There are cultural and technical fests very frequently organized all around the year and there is something for everyone to learn and grow, as the peers are not just the locals, but represent pan India. The faculty is wonderful: very knowledgeable and equally helpful. And yes, 100% placement is just a basic norm, you might end up getting 2 or 3 offers if you work hard enough!
