B.Tech Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2029-01-01
Academics
Decent academics. But tough. We have to give three exams in each semester , two mid semesters and one end semester. It becomes tiring. Some proffs are chill and some are strict, they expect you to write exactly what they taught.
College Infra
Good infrastructure, it is one of the best government colleges in India for B tech. This campus has a long legacy. Campus area is vast with everything available inside. From shops to cafes and stationary.
Campus Life
Overall good campus life, fest are organized regularly, many clubs are active of all kinds. Make friends and you'll be able to enjoy with them and create memories. Campus has sports facilities for all.
Placements
Placements are good. Especially for Conputer science department. The highest package this year was 62.5 lpa with median of 16 lpa. For mechanical and other core branches the placements are not that great.
Value For Money
Definitely value for money, fees is relatively low, the overall fee is 7 to 8 lpa without any rebate. But you can easily get rebate if you are from low income background or belong to OBC/SC/ST. Worth it snd value for money.

NIT Kurukshetra is a good place to study. It has both academics and co-curricular activities.
I'll first tell you about the life at NIT Kurukshetra:
Life will be fun as the college has lots of Clubs, Societies, Crews, Magazines, Fests and all. If you are a part of any of the above, you are to have a lot of parties and get together throughout the year.
You'll make a lot of friends. Just keep in mind to choose your friends wisely.
The college campus isn't too large or too small, it's just sufficient. It has lots of greenery and scenic beauty.
You can hangout with your friends at the OAT, BOK, AELawns, the canteens, etc.( Don't be scared of the acronyms, these are the best places! <3)NIT Kurukshetra maintains a stellar placement record, highlighted by a historic milestone where a B.Tech student secured a record-breaking package of ₹1.56 Crore per annum. The overall B.Tech placement rate stands strong at 85.90%, yielding an institutional average package of ₹13.21 LPA and a steady median package of ₹10 LPA.

Academics
Teachers were very punctual and very hard working. They were very highly qualified. And always came to provide the lecture and never missed the classes assigned to them. They usually provide practical knowledge and experience to each one of them.
College Infra
Very good infrastructure, greenery all over was the best part there. All the facilities were absolutely good. Hostel was good but the mess food was very bad. All the sports facilities like badminton court, volleyball court was available. The campus was very big with stores in the campus as well.
Campus Life
It was very fun and enjoyable. There were many clubs and cultural hubs as well. But for girls it was 8pm as in time so for boys it is overall very good.
Placements
Placements are decent it usually depends on individual students. When I graduated the placements were very bad because of recession. And maximum students went for higher studies. Although the decent you can consider.
Value For Money
It is overall very good for ROI. Everything was cheap and fees was very nominal. It was basically 30k for 1 year.

Computer Science at NIT Kurukshetra with a 98.9 EWS percentile is not going to work according to previous years' specific EWS cutoffs for NIT Kurukshetra .
However,if you qualify for the Home State quota then you might get cs at nit kurukshetra.
