Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Presidency University, Bangalore.

The Mechanical Engineering Department in Presidency University is one of the major departments in terms of faculty, students, and activities. The department is dedicated to the teaching and research activities in the areas of Design, Thermal & Manufacturing Engineering. The department educates students to take up challenging jobs in a wide range of industries and engage themselves in research and development activities for the good of society.

It continues to lead and expand its activities in various directions. The academic activities are supported by well-equipped laboratories, including Workshop, Engineering Graphics, Computer Aided Design, and Production Techniques, Heat Transfer and Prime movers and Fluid Mechanics Laboratories.

Eligibility Criteria

Pre-University / Higher Secondary /10+2 examination Pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category) in the above subjects taken together.
In case of SC/ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka (Karnataka candidates) the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40 %.

Admission Details

Appeared for JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), Karnataka CET, COMED-K, PUEET or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.
Candidates are required to appear for the Presidency University Bangalore evaluation test in addition to standard eligibility criteria.
Candidates are also required to appear for the Personal Interview process
